I don't think there is a leader in the modding community that says: "Go ahead and work on something akin to RP2" I think it is more people wanted to make mods similar. That is about it. I don't think Rp is dead because I firmly believe she is working on it.

Thing is FTB can make one pack without RP. That is fine. If Mindcrack and DW20 want to wait that is fine too. No need to split packs seeing how Mindcrack and DW20 say what goes in and out of their packs. Same with Yogscraft.
