    I personally keep a table of mods which is grouped by three units: "must", "necessary", "useful". "Must">"necessary">"useful".

    If you are up to adding mods, I can recommend WAWLA (should show whether you can harvest block), Tic Tooltips(shows stats of TinCon tools) and Extended item information (shows block harvest level).
