You would have to use The Right BatBox or MFE or MFSU.. Because of how the Packet system works.. You can actually kill your power system using the wrong Battery Box. And cause unwanted explosions. :)

Yes, always backup your saves before loading a new Mod Version.. It hurts even more if you use custom mods.. Because the new updated mod pack will delete all custom mods.. And you have to reinstall them before loading your save.. If you don't you will lose your stuff from the mods in the save...
