This. With default configs, it has more power gen and less fuel consumption than most of the other generators. I can't vouch for it on nerfed configs, but I'd imagine it's still pretty powerful.

That won't remove the xp orbs; it will only remove any mobs which might somehow die and drop more, which doesn't seem to be the issue.

There are currently no mods which are disabled by default. All I have for my next update's TODO is to disable Cicadas (yuck) and add in (but disable-by-default) Thaumcraft Minus Thaumcraft. I'll do that sometime when I have time.

Hmmm... I'm not sure. I do appreciate the feedback; it helps me to judge how I'm doing. I think that, since this pack is oriented towards noobs, I want to keep the research game on by default - it's important to the theme of the mod. I think I may drop in TMT and have it disabled by default. :)

It's good for testing stuff in creative. Machine nooks are not. :P

That's what point defenses are for. :P Do they spawn in regular light levels? If not, RFTools' force fields would probably work great for defense. Otherwise, I myself can't think of any other defenses.

Mod your dwarves to be fireproof? ;) Again, the contents of the HFS can be taken care of with just a couple drawbridges. And remember, there is no word for "overkill" in dwarven. We're not off-topic. These are all cool little things we are helping to enlighten people about. :D

And? That's what dwarven atom smashing drawbridge airlocks are for. There isn't an issue. (less funnily, it's possibly to mine smartly and avoid the Clowns anyway)
