    [1.7.10][LISTED] InfiTech 2 Modpack v3.2.21 [HQM][GregTech balanced hard-mode modpack]

My lava heat exchanger system is workin! :D http://prntscr.com/apzw07 Still lacking a fair bit of tungsten for the second turbine line but the first one is working just fine. Also realised im gonna need to expand the centrifuging of pahoe lava a LOT. By my calculations i would need 24 MV...

I haven't tried it in game yet but you can make light oil into bc oil at a 3:1 ratio, raw oil at a 2:1 ratio and heavy oil at a 1:1 in the distillery acording to NEI. The energy content is roughly the same but the more advanced distillery setups that optimize nitro diesel production cant run on...

That is very similar to what i first had in mind but with a lower tech implementation. What tier can you get out a farming station, MV tier? That should be the hardest thing to produce of the tings you mention. Wouldnt it be better to run the creosote in the GT boiler rather than the RC boiler...

    [1.7.10][LISTED] InfiTech 2 Modpack v3.2.21 [HQM][GregTech balanced hard-mode modpack]

Making biogas with ic2 is INSANELY slow. Tried to make a system with it way back in some other modpack and realised i would need a huge array to even produce a bit of power. If you are only going to get biogas for a jetpack it works quite well thought. The complete system for my oak farm would...

    [1.7.10][LISTED] InfiTech 2 Modpack v3.2.21 [HQM][GregTech balanced hard-mode modpack]

Just noticed a thing, sapplings cant actually be turned into biochaff, however leaves and apples can. So a farm that could shear leaves would be insanely efficient at producing a biochaff while a regular one wouldnt work at all beyond the small production of apples. Now here is the funny thing...

I just had a really funny idea that im gonna implement with my tree farm that completly skips the solid fuels and instead produce liquid and gaseous fuels. As before the sapplings get turned into biogas but the difference is that now instead the wood gets turned into heavy oil. 16 wood turns...

I'le try and find time to do a short guide on how to make the low tech oil-nitro diesel production line and do a proper calculation on the system to see what machines in the setup are the bottleneck and the overall output of the system. I suspect this would be valuable for a lot of people Is...

Are you sure you set it up right? you have to be extremly carefull not to let it have any air blocks on any side on the refinery or the temperature dropps significantly. It is possible though that it has been changed since i did it some month ago

The best way of making fuel with pneumaticraft in my oppinion is to make a passive oil cracker using burning netherrack that surrounds the refinery on all sides. Looks something like this http://prntscr.com/a649xq. Tthis was way back (page 461) when i was starting out my current SP world...

    [1.7.10][LISTED] InfiTech 2 Modpack v3.2.21 [HQM][GregTech balanced hard-mode modpack]

I always used fuel as an early game power source to get going with my first electric blast furnace. To get some starting oil all you should need is a drum and a gas lift from pneumaticraft that you run with a solid fuel compressor. Things have changed a lot since then but i used a pneumaticraft...

    [1.7.10][LISTED] InfiTech 2 Modpack v3.2.21 [HQM][GregTech balanced hard-mode modpack]

TBH i might actually go for a very sappling rich tree rather than a wood heavy tree as producing biogas is actually way more efficient in producing power. The turbines that run on gas has twice the output for same turbine run on steam and you dont need the expensive tungstensteel boiler. Also...

    [1.7.10][LISTED] InfiTech 2 Modpack v3.2.21 [HQM][GregTech balanced hard-mode modpack]

Then i might just go for a vanilla oak farm, the smallest size of farming station is 7x7 but it can go all the way upp to 11x11 in size and then the output should be large enough even if its only oak. I will have to check the amount of sapplings and wood i need to produce to run the previous...

Ender io farming stations require an axe to run and consumes durability. A dark steel axe with the best capacitator avoids 95% of the damage and consume RF instead which can be recharged with a wireless recharger. Then add unbreaking 3 and it wont get destroyed anytime soon :) You can also...

    [1.7.10][LISTED] InfiTech 2 Modpack v3.2.21 [HQM][GregTech balanced hard-mode modpack]

That sounds like just the thing i was looking for, hard to find or? If they grow really fast you dont even need to uppgrade the ender IO farm so much. Probably gonna need a pretty good axe if i dont want to get new ones all the time. A maxed out dark steel axe with a wireless charger should do...

This is actually very nice since osmium is the thing im really lacking atm and you get very small amounts even from the iridium veins as the iridium ore content is very small. A lot of the iridium you get from processing platinum and sheldonite (Edit). So i have rather large amounts of iridium...

For me that plays on singleplayer it really doesnt matter that much with durability as long as it is not extremly low. With steam a HSS-S turbine lasts 128 hours and HSS-E 305 hours. Thats so long it wont be a problem regardless :) Shit, havent looked into the nitric acid ore processing now...

Did a rather large overview on turbine materials a few days ago. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ypolb7s6aLHTMSyClcbFxEPIlYP19qZGNUgDUOqpP4Q/edit?usp=sharing While the durability is lower on HSS-S turbines the main difference is that the output is 40% higher (efficiency is the same...

Have to say i love the new recepies for how to make tungsten and titanium. There has always been a lot of material that rarely see use but now all of a sudden its actually usefull with hydrogen, chlorine, magnesium, etc. Had really great fun yesterday making enough titanium for the large heat...

If possible i would like a clarification on the turbines. Is the nominal flow the same regardless if you use SHS or steam or is it rather the EU output that is constant?

    [1.7.10][LISTED] InfiTech 2 Modpack v3.2.21 [HQM][GregTech balanced hard-mode modpack]

Added most large turbine materials to the document. Surprisingly Fluxed electrum is among the best materials you can use. The only downside is the low durability however if the recycling of turbines could be automated somehow they would be extremly good. Other than that both HSS-S and...
