I always just put a valve in the top center block and a Railcraft water tank centered on top of it. Never needed more than that.

I have no idea which modpacks use which mods but Witchery doors come with a key. The cook thing about the aforementioned carpenter's blocks doors is that, side-by-side, they function as double doors without needing to wire them.

I've only tried it once but the canyon biomes (for example) don't come out of the ground and up in 75-block sheer walls with atg installed.

For the latter try that floodgate. Covertjaguar has a YouTube video showing it off. Never used it, honestly.

Bop with atg is hilly but much flatter than bop alone.

Do you wanna get rid of liquid in an area or fill an area with liquid? If the latter, either BC or Railcraft has an item.... Floodgate, I think it's called.

For the most part I just have things stored near where I am likely to need them, in chests and/or Jabba barrels. On the rare occasion I do some sort of sorting 'system' I like to do it with carts (I like the look and sound) or with Buildcraft pipes.

I didn't play with extra biomes much but didn't that Wasteland biome grow like taint? That wasteland mechanic would be cool with deforestation.

I'm always interested in hard-mode stuff. I just don't want hunger to be *the* thing that consumes every facet of my Minecraft life.
