As mentioned, that looks like what happens when you add a mod that adds new biomes to an existing world. Any unexplored chunks get biomes assigned that usually aren't what's next to it when you finally explore them. Complete with straight lines between the biomes.

The autoejectors have been in for a while. At least since 1.5.x. Note that you can right click them (or shift click) on a block to make them eject in that direction. IE click on the south side of a block to make them eject to the south.

I'm on XP. Acrobat had never worked for me, and other methods are hit-and-usually-miss for individual files. The few times I've gotten a pdf file to work, I've had a harder time reading them. With a text file, pagedown moves almost an entire page down and I can find the point I left off...

Anyone have a NON-pdf version of this? I've been unable to get any PDF program to work on my computer, ever. Also, why do people use pdf in the first place? It's so much harder to move through than a text file.

First, I was watching Direwolf20's recent videos. With the hammer and shears of IC2-exp. He used the machine to make stuff while using the hammer to make plates. The thing about that machine is it takes time to make stuff, while the hammer and shears can make a stack with a few quick clicks...

For a non-powered way of killing them, I like Extra Utilities' iron spikes and conveyers. No animation on the conveyers and the spikes allow the mobs to drop rare drops.

The grindstone's purpose is likely the same as all those wrenches out there: AE might be used in a pack/by itself without another mod that can grind stuff up. That way it doesn't depend on another mod being there.

As said, weeds only start in empty crops. And doubled crops for crossbreeding have a higher chance. But it does take time. So as long as you're not going mining for a while you just need to check on them every so often when crossbreeding.
