FTB Infinity Skyblock 1.7.10 Help, Venting and Discussion Thread

I don't appreciate IndustrialCraft recipes infiltrating vanilla recipes like those stupid plates required for crafting a bucket. Bad enough, I had to use compressed cobble just to craft a stone furnace but that was only one extra recipe, that was ok. The bucket represents an entire mess, I...

    Early skyblock Quad Cobble gen!

My own solution to establishing a manual cobble gen after 2 failed attempts was to make something as simple as possible from wood planks and replace the wood on the lava end of things with cobble as soon as I could.

    Early skyblock Quad Cobble gen!

That looks pretty good. I never realized there was a safe way to use wood and lava together. Handy to know in a skyblock environment. cheers

I took down my world pics thread due to lack of interest. When I finish my next project I plan to do a video walk through from youtube.

    Thank you FTB

Hardcore players get seriously discriminate with name calling and disrespect, finding no room for Lowend players in there lives. I want to thank you for making a place for lowend users. I have always advocated the best computer programs are written for everyone. The ideal computer program...

FTB Infinity 1.7.10 Help, Venting and Discussion Thread

Also, I was wondering if anyone has noticed a world gen flaw in Twilight Forest. I set up a BC quarry in a small alcove or bay right next to the portal. The coordinates said the bay bottom started at 19 while the water level is at about 12 higher or so. I expected this to be a very short time...

FTB Infinity 1.7.10 Help, Venting and Discussion Thread

Inaeo, I have discussed this idea with several people, especially the idea as Ashendale mentioned, of a mod which does ingame config changes. Most opinions are this would be very difficult to accomplish. However the idea one player like me, who could play along side a hardcore player, and both...

Does anyone know if Sim-U-Kraft is any good?

This sounds like it would be fun for anyone who likes Sims city and such. Especially those who like to build villages and small cities. One could popular it with something a bit more interesting than vanilla villagers. Just a thought.

Well, there is Infitech2 third party modpack, which is not hard but expands the Gregtech/GT addon concept to the point where way too many recipes and processes making the whole experience rather mundane and not worth pursuing. The other side of the coin if you will.

"challenge" is not bad. I was referring to too much "challenge". When as you put it the difficulty is so hard, to be nearly unbeatable or not worth beating.

FTB Infifnity is awesome so far,,,

The point of Minecraft is to have fun. If the player is too busy with what others call a "challenge", then the player will not have fun. I have seen many players disappear when there was too much "challenge". While this version of The Nether, in Infinity Evolved, is more dangerous than most I...

Inaeo: You are right of course. I should have thought of that. I have seen those configs before and yes, one type of copper is better to deal with.

I added Forestry mod copper ore generation after a full sized BC quarry only managed less than a stack of copper. It turns out only Thermal copper was turned on. Some of these mods eat a bunch of copper.

Cool, give me a few days to put something together. Right now, I am busy with the usual Monday-Tuesday sometimes Wednesday grandson babysitting.

I think I came across something like that robe I want to try. Photoloss: The last time I played with the Kami struff, I believe it had to be activated, I will check. As for the virtue of the addon, I think an open unbalanced set of mods gives a player many choices of what to use, as you guys...

I did not know about the Botania flower, but I did know about the Ocelots. These items are great at your base, but do not help when you walk through the forest and a creeper sneaks up behind you. There are a few situations one can not prepare for ahead of time, with exception to sturdy armor...

Agreed, but I will always hate creepers in all forms and any reason behind their creation. Hide and go Boom sucks, is stupid.

FTB Infifnity is awesome so far,,,

Oh, well, the right armor and a good sword is all I really need for the monsters, except those dang creepers like to play hide and go boom often enough to be irritating. Ways to counter such things? sure are plenty, but it does not make explosions cool or funny, especially when it destroys a lot...

I turned off Nether ores mod, config option, zombie pigs angry when mining and exploding ores. I find it bad enough, in the over all view of the nether, to find a lot more monsters making the Nether quite a lot more dangerous as it is. Some author, in my opinion, had the immature idea, a version...
