ELI5: Ore Dictionary expanded or "Why can't forge handle the ore generation?"

Gregtech used to have unifier code that changed all outputs to one type of ingot, while it worked in most cases some things required their own ore to actually work and unless you were unifying to that type of ore you were outa luck. My current method is to change the ingot types to whatever my...

    Direwolf20 - TCon - Silk Touch - Ore Blocks

I use an Autonomous Activator and Terrain Smasher combo activator places, smasher smashes and places into a chest which is then emptied into my AE system. If I cared about Fortune I could use a second activator with a Fortuned pick in it but meh I have enough of all of those things.

    Infinite Dyes / Lapiz

To speed up the leaf decay you could use a group of autonomous activators as all the trees are 5x5? so you could cover the varying heights (or force only growth of set height trees by capping the spot at that height), with 4-12 activators that have sickles\scythes in them.

I've noticed that some of the villager bees (definitely but it may have been some of the hive bees not to sure) are crossbreeds when collected which would lead to unstackable drones especially in bee houses which do not allow mutation so the hybrid status is maintained without the possibility of...

    Infinite Dyes / Lapiz

Golems handle Project Red trees fine (though the leaves still decay slowly rather than the accelerated rate so they are not at 100%) Autonomous Activators can plant\bonemeal and harvest them as well (have to put an axe in one activator) just a couple things I just tried can probably find more :)...

Player data is also stored in the level.dat not sure if you can copy it from there but I do know that if you want to edit your player inv or other things you need to edit the one in level.dat

Any of the "flower" dyes are very easy to get large scale (well not very easy it requires some setup but once running you will be able to dye your world) bees + Steves Carts lawnmower attachment, it is still RNG based but given the range of a standard bee house, 9x9, with the range of a...

Getting started with Bees (Extra Bees & Gendustry)

I'm heavily into bees but that thing really doesn't do it for me I prefer to breed those traits into my bees and I'll go to the Nether to breed up the species that need it gives me an excuse to hang around in the Nether anyways ... might make a piggyman spawner :)

    Thank you MeteorCraft for ...

Fill a Biblio Bookshelf or 2 or 3 for decoration in 1.5.2 I had a chest or 2 full of TiC books when I was using the MAC to autocraft some of the TiC blocks it triggered the "new book on craft" every time since the MAC didn't have player nbt :)

Nope Tinkers doesn't have a saw, my brain was clearly not working it's Project Red and Microblocks that add saws, sorry about that.

    I Dream of Tangerines!

I don't usually listen to music while playing Minecraft... my kids tell me it's too loud :D But when I do well I am excited to be going here http://soundwavefestival.com/lineup and frankly out of that it is going to be bloody hard to choose who to see, should give you some idea of my musical...

    Should you "complete" minecraft first?

Knowing vanilla mechanics is very handy at times when trouble shooting modded builds, you can stick down the vanilla method (which is often bulky and inelegant) as they are known quantities and you know they work. Though I personally haven't played vanilla Minecraft since 1.3.2 and really have...

Try one of the other saws probably the TiC saw is the one you want since afaik it adds the clouds in the first place, if you have WAILA look for the one in NEI that has Tinkers Construct in the mod area. Edit: Ok so it's BoP clouds they are found in the Promised Land so you need the portal open...

Getting started with Bees (Extra Bees & Gendustry)

Ignobles do die off eventually but I have Ignoble princesses I've used to breed up 3 strains of bees (so 20-30 generations per strain) then I imprint the strain and species onto a Rocky princess via normal breeding, oh yeah one very very good way to have a lot of Pristine Princesses for...

I'd like to pick a few brains

Well after running overnight I found that the issue is back but I am fairly certain I've discovered the root cause of it this time I have a TE itemduct run feeding charcoal to a group of 20 Steam Dynamo's it seems as though the duct is still outputting even when "stuffed" there was enough...

Very large trees (and odd shaped) all over the place, leads to a lot more leaf decay calculations not as much an issue now but some systems will still struggle with it.

There used to be some world leak issues with Twilght Forest but I am fairly certain those were fixed it is more of a strain on your system to render and run but if your system can handle it why not?

As an independant Minecraft fan, this is what I feel ModJam needs.

Truthfully while Sync is a good mod I personally think Steve's Factory Manager is a gamechanger and is a better mod, I also have just installed the Laser Mod\Doggy Talents (both remakes of 1.2.5 mods I loved) and am keeping an eye on Oceania once it has a bit more content I'll probably grab it.

Getting started with Bees (Extra Bees & Gendustry)

Bees are fun, I have bred a good portion of the Forestry\Extra Bees\Magic Bees species via vanilla forestry breeding methods all of my bees are nocturnal, cave dwelling, flyers with normal workspeed and long lives. Took a bit of time to both learn how to breed them and to actually breed them I...
