Except posting the latter on a forum 95% of the time implies opinion. Y'know, the last forum I was on also went through an "in your opinion" spam phase. We eventually decided against it because it was easier to just infer privately that it was an opinion than to post "in your opinion"...

Who knows? It's not like I could have predicted or designed half of the stuff Witchery and BM have come out with, but a lot of those ideas could have just as easily been implemented into a tech mod (a futuristic one even more so). There's always room for new inventions.

From my experience, 5x is very, VERY hard to pull off. 4x is better IMO, and I think that doesn't require gunpowder (and thus is renewable).

It isn't the mods themselves that are stagnant, it's the whole genre. BC's changes are still minor functionality tweaks, re-adding old content that can be done in 1.6 (albeit not as well) and a few other things other mods can already do. IC2 is dead (or zombified at best), and GT is completely...

On the other hand, though, she could work on tech and revitalize the genre, which it really needs.

Related: Do AE Chests (in AE2) work as actual chests? As in, can you directly pump items into them? If so, I am going all-out storing mode.

Tubes, all of the original sorting mechanics and machines, Blutricity (with actual content this time), frames. I'd prefer her to stay away from circuit boards and redstone wire because we have 2 nearly identical versions of those already that are both better than RP2's were, so she would just...

Even RR isn't planning to jump for some time because not enough mods are updated, complete or stable, not to mention the various bugs in version 1.7.2. AE2 doesn't even have autocrafting yet, TE isn't updated yet (it almost is though) and more importantly our primary worldgen mod, COFHCore...

Then again, some of the later AM2 bosses are honestly a bit overpowered. There's one in particular that's pretty infamous.

Oh, I was talking about functionality, personally. Forestry was the first in the general area of tabs but TE2/3 was the first in using tabs for redstone control and import/export management.

Actually, no. That was Forestry that invented that, but TE created the type that TE uses.

Some mod decided to throw a hissy fit at mods including DRM. Apparently, someone thinks you have DRM in your mods, but that's the issue: we don't know who.

I would imagine RIM would work almost as well as RP2 did, if not just as well. And since the drama nightmare for RIM has been resolved via a new author, that's actually an option.

It's one mod. A lot of those mods would trigger DRM-based nonsense, but none of them are the culprit. Sadly, what we are looking at is a potential nuclear drama bomb.

I don't know if re-releasing RP2 (of RP3, maybe) is a good idea, though. I mean, look at what the mod actually did and what we have now. Everything in RP2 has been recreated, and its most useful features are either duplicated by several mods better than the original (microparts, logic gates...
