I like the killed by a bear thing. That could be a good motivation to study holy magic, like your character say him getting killed and couldn't do anything to stop it. The books thing seems unneccesary thoiugh. Why would he need to mine the iron himself? Not everyone is off fighting things...

Yeah I know, I was just explaining my biew because there was a discussion on what magic is and I felt it relevant. I wasn't saying that this game's magic isn't proper magic, it absolutely is, I was just saying that a magic system without a proper power source isn't magic.

In my eyes, magic is simply a type of energy that IRL either doesn't exist or can't be accessed. In fantasy, this power does exist and can be accessed. If the power comes from nowhere then you aren't a wizard, you're a god.

Maybe the demon consulted with a seer and saw that the character was going to kill the demon so he turned him into a dragon to recruit him to the side of darkness. Unfortunately that backfired big-time.

Well a golem would obviously have high defence but he'd be limited by his human core. He'd have a hard time actually fighting in that state. He'd be slow but decently powerful.

Well maybe you can be a human cursed by a demon to make your skin calcify, turning you into a golem like creature. You're still technically human, just a cursed human.

By the way, her hair was initially brunette, but it gradually changed as she communed with nature. She was infused with the essence of the world, allowing her some control over nature and the side affect of changing her hair. Her eye color however is entirely coincidental.
