I agree with Holf, no need to use ID resovler. I simply used the configs from the beta pack (which has all those mods listed) and then added the mods from the magic pack and had no id issues at all.

Well, you can't have the saplings ferment themselves but you can create plantballs from all the extrabiome saplings & leaves. Simply craft 8 of them in a chest like recipe to get 2 plantballs. 1 plantball will produce .400-.600 biomass depending on what liquid used to power it.

I highly recommend watching DireWolf20's mod spotlight of Mystcraft. Though a bit old, it's very informative and may help you out. All you need to do is spawn in a notebook from creative mod to get all the symbols. Or if you have a good supply of leather/feathers discover it all yourself...
