Just a few suggestions, I'm not that well versed myself. Consider starting with buildcraft(BC). It is a central mod that other core mods (Forestry) uses. The power can be converted into many other mods as well. Some of the mods to look into here are; Buildcraft, Forestry, Thermal Expansion...

Ah. I found the proper config. I didn't realize gregtech had so many different config's and I wasn't looking for more than the gregtech.cfg

I mean for singleplayer. I'm trying to find out where to change those configs in NEI.

Wasn't sure if this is "tech support" but its mostly just a customization thing. Is there a way to have NEI show the easy mode recipe with gregtech? I'm still learning the recipe's for stuff and it gets confusing when the right ones don't show up.

Sadly, the choice for a lack of a background is the only reason I won't be using JS. its digustingly annoying and makes most gregtech interfaces absolutely unusable. Rotary items and most with a "RPM" status are unreadable. It's really disappointing this won't be fixed.
