Yes it is true it uses catalyst to control it. But I can't figure out how to assign java to the gpu though. Do you know how?

Well you could install it again since the part where greg's making everything harder sorts me out :p makes it even more challenging on creating machines. And yeah it takes longer since if you take a look at the console it will said that greg tech will try doing something with the ore dictionary...

The config used is a universal config which is used by other modpacks. So you will see lots of config from other mods but not the mod itself since the mods itself is included in different modpack. You can enable some of the disabled mod from the ftb launcher itself just select your modpack then...
