    Mining well nerfs.....

If a pack includes Railcraft, it really has no place making any kind of moral judgement. Because DRM in mods is a silly, silly thing. Also jakj is right a depressing amount of the time. Also more reminders that ethics, is in fact, a sucker's game when talking about Minecraft mods. Especially...

    Mining well nerfs.....

Since you have such an amazing ability to work out which mods will and will not be in future FTB packs, would you mind telling everyone what the 1.6 pack will look like? Or: Why wouldn't that mod be in FTB and 1000 word essay on why not.

Mekanism: why BuildCraft support will not be included in 1.6

He does say 'one minor catch'! It's in the post fragment you quoted. Looks like someones so eager to be offended they forgot how to read all of a sentence.

Mekanism: why BuildCraft support will not be included in 1.6

Thermal Expansion conduits are (apparently) computationally superior to regular Buildcraft pipes. Moving inferior code into TE may very well remove the efficiency, and from what I've read, King Lemming loves his computational efficiency. There's also the fact that once you've coded something and...

With the return of taint, thaumcraft is now full of !!FUN!!

inb4 demands for Thaumcraft-less packs. For server peeps who don't use the Thaumcraft, this is probably going to be really annoying. And depending on exactly how you're meant to fight the generic spreading darkness, it could be equally annoying for Thaumcraft players too.

    Mining well nerfs.....

And no ever used mining wells again. Or they just built even larger MFR farms to meet the ever growing need for power in a nerf-driven environment. People aren't giving up their chunk eating monsters. I mean since Redstone in Motion added new pattern carriages the potential for carriage quarries...

What's that game FTB was involved in?

Screwed. Oh wait I'm meant to try and hide my Minecraft modder induced Misanthropy. Whoops!

    Redpower Replacements

Yep, those things seem pretty cool. The variety of movement types helps. Also Carriage Engine moving with Carriages is good.

    Redpower Replacements

If you want stuff counted to trigger something, won't an AE Level Emitter work? While your fancy challenge map will need to power the AE system, you could just make a creative only infinite power block.

Do you think IC2 is dead?

Except when the prices were entirely arbitrary in the new system, yet carried over. Wood to Obsidian is dumb. Especially given how much wood you can get nowadays.

    Redpower Replacements

I have read about a frame type replacement thing, which has some neat features planned/implemented. I'm not quite up to the specifics. Unfortunately, linking it could lead to: a) Broccoli pelting, b) Questions into why I read such forums. Of course, I'm sure everyone here is sane enough...

    OP: A relative term

OP, OP, OP, Oppa Minecraft style! But on the seriously side of things, hooray for an discussion of game balance which actually involves discussion instead of thinly veiled bitching. Especially since it remembers that mods don't exist in some magical vacuum. Also actually solutions that allow...

Do you think IC2 is dead?

lol no. TE > IC2. Also if you can't see the idiocy of complaining that people are lazy in a game, I don't even. Alsomore TE isn't cheaper. Gold > Iron.

    Gregtech & the omniwrench

Alternately, you are being punished for accidentally placing a machine in the wrong place. Or moving things to a different location that was previously unsuitable for machines. The whole wrench thing in IC2 is the dumb, especially the 'herp derp pay 40k EU not have a chance of things breaking'...

    Why do people hate Greg?

He basically acts like everything he does is a divinely mandated breakthrough. Nearly everything he posts is border line unreadable due to the sense of smug 'look at how great I am' feeling coming off it. His FAQ contains a bunch of obnoxious insults in places where a simple 'not my problem'...

    [1.5.2] NumiRP

Oh man false equivalencies all over the place. Redpower is dead. Deceased. No longer able to continue. XYCraft however, has signs of development. Hell, someone could make a 1.5 only mod called XYholder that allows you to carry over XYCraft worldgen through 1.5 and that would be pretty useful...

    [1.5.2] NumiRP

It's no less ridiculous than some of the licenses mods have. Mainly since they forbid the exact things the modder did to create their mod in the first place. Anyway, all* of Redpower's features have been remade or replaced by other mods. And many of these options are better. This particular...

    Powersuits OP?

Quantum Suit and it's 100% damage resistance says no. Also over powered it not a statement that stands on it's own. How exactly is over powered?
  19. Hyperme

Will be gregtech in the future FTB packs?

Because it's entirely arbitrary, and doesn't actually lock the Nether behind steel. You'd just need another bucket of lava, something that burns, and a bit of luck to ignite the portal.

    FTB Mod Discussion: Greg-Tech

Except you can split the 64 operations across multiple machines, and since the time taken for each individual operation is in line with the rest of Minecraft, you can move things down to a more resonable delay. However, Gregtech operations start with taking moronically out of scale times...
