The good, the bad, and the bees

Well now I'm the person who is wrong. D: Of course, random failure Bees still exist, meaning you don't want to start inter-breeding bees until you can make up for crippling design failures.

The good, the bad, and the bees

This is wrong. Unless Bee Houses prevent bee death, the potential for your bees to die at random is there at the very beginning of bees. However, you have no way of knowing that your bee is shoddy until later. And then finding your bee is worthless just means you have to... go find more bees...

Opinion: Why I think some mod authors should think twice about their new content

Okay I guess I'll throw in my two pence. Firstly, innovation. In my opinion, the innovation argument shouldn't exist. Or at least, complaints about lack of innovation should be behind graphical complains, and that isn't something I'd say about the majority of things. I'm much more interested...

    Nerfing the Nerfs!

Oh man time for a discussion. On game design. From me. Run while you still can! So, yeah, it's that post. You're discussing the new Bearcraft nerf, and some people are saying 'maybe he went to far'. So they're posting their arguments, some are just grumbling, and then that post shows up. All...

    Nerfing the Nerfs!

The thing I mentioned is from the 1.6 version of Forestry. It's pretty stupid.

    Nerfing the Nerfs!

Nerfs all the way down! Because actually game design is too hard. Also the newest Bee is nerf is a prime example of this. 80% of bees are now 'ignoble' and can randomly die. Because apparently bee breeding wasn't infuriatingly luck based before.

    Thoughts On EE3

Any attempt to balance any form of equivalent exchange is doomed to fail, since it pretty much slaughters any kind of rarity. Get a diamond, hook the transmute-o-matic up to a wheat farm and you have a photocopier that makes actual copies.

    What Does This Mean? [-]

And here we have a fine attempt at 'being funny', perhaps. Unfortunately, success was not found. Also PROTIP: People have different0 (better?) opinions on game difficulty. Build a bridge and get over it.

Converting old maps to FTB Unleashed/Unhinged

You could try mIDas Gold. It's a tool for changing block/items IDs around. Obviously, back up your world before messing with IDs in case you royally screw up and turn dirt into machine blocks. Although you won't need to actually touch any Vanilla IDs so that won't happen.

    Thermal Expansion Status

Except Redstone is pretty much the most complex mechanic in Vanilla Minecraft. Also, there is an attempt to set some kind of goal structure via achievements. Many mods are happy to be all 'here are some blocks that do a thing' and leave you to fumble around.

    A replacement for frames!

Hey at least he doesn't show blatant contempt for people who use his mod, disappear for months at a time, or forbid decompiling of something that only exists because of decompiling. Really, if saying mean things about FTB makes you not trust someone, you need to get over yourself. Or look...

Greg Tech opinion discussions go here

Unhinged pack, surprisingly, contains contradictory game play choices all the way down. Mystcraft? We're talking about the mod that literally has a feature that creates Lava Seas and Endless Deserts. Of course, it does require a horribly grind to get to enough symbols for it to really be useful...

Greg Tech opinion discussions go here

Wait. Gregling logic demands Greg is always right. What happens when, for whatever reason, Greg makes something require itself with no other path to said something? How will they react? Will Greg try to cover it up? Also mDiyo's avatar isn't grass type. All that green and you'd think it would...

Greg Tech opinion discussions go here

How can we judge a person, if not by their actions? Anyhow I don't envy the moderators. Once the *lings come out in force, having to reread posts that say 'greg doesn't even game design' or 'mDiyo is a fish' because someone decided something was an 'attack' doesn't sound fun. Also greg...

Man mDiyo got out the burns and Greg couldn't even keep up. Well when you surround yourself with yes-men dealing with actual opinions is pretty difficult I hear.

Greg Tech opinion discussions go here

While ignoring any form of context is effective when arguing against sea slime, I'm fairly sure everyone here is human, and thus have brain cells to rub together. Greg has changed other mods recipes, and made one of these changes irreversible. This makes it entirely unreasonable for him to...

Greg Tech opinion discussions go here

Man I go to watch Stargate and suddenly discourse drops another level and I didn't even get another angry 'greg can't even game design let alone java' post in. tragedy of the highest level, for certain levels of tragedy. It's not even implementing ITriggerCrying. I mean really. Anyhow mDiyo...

Greg Tech opinion discussions go here

Yep, stupid. Otherwise you wouldn't be defending the bullshit with more bullshit. Greg has fucked with other mods, so people can fuck with his mod. Welcome to the metaphysical concept of karma, also better insults please? I'm far too confident in my own intelligence for 'stupid' to be effective...
