Which modpack are you playing? I have two ideas. One is that it's that tricky bug which was supposed to be fixed from 1.4.7, so if you're playing 1.4.7, there's a chance it's that. Otherwise, perhaps you've found another way to re-glitch it. AFAIK, the only way to avoid this is by popping down...

No idea for sure. What I can tell you is that everything in IC2 runs off of EU (Generators, Solar Panels, that sort of thing,) AE and MFRL can run off of EU or mJ, Factorization runs off its own power system, and everything else runs off of mJ (Engines.) I don't know how much UE's in DW20, so...

Anyone know for sure if Biogas Engines powered by Milk or Magmatic Engines are more efficient in their Lava -> mJ conversion rate?

In one of the (1.4.7?) updates they nerfed Biogas Engines so that Milk had the same effect as Water (cooling off the engine more than it could heat itself up,) so now you need lava in addition to milk to power them. Mostly because people started farming Milk pretty much for free via RP2 and MFRL...
