Mostly, I have always struggled with Official FTB packs from the curse launcher, but haven't had too much issue with my custom packs using the curse luancher.

Direwolf20 1.10 Pack Casually Scarfing Down 6 Gigs of Private Bytes On The Home Menu

back in 1.7 I had to have fastcraft to even function throughout. Doing FTB custom packs with around 30 mods in 1.10.2 was fine. I had things like IC2, Forestry (I think this one was a Memory hole) BM, IE, Bot, BoP, Psi, Eio, Tic, RFTools, around 15 other additional info mods. Any of the Fresh...

I know... that was the point. I require atleast 4GB to run the packs. I would recommend more than 4GB, just on it's face.

I have a computer with a total of 4gb. I can't run any of the Official FTB 1.10.2 packs without crashing upon loading pack and it capping at 3.6gb. I'd say 4GB is a requirement.

Direwolf20 1.10 Pack Casually Scarfing Down 6 Gigs of Private Bytes On The Home Menu

Here's the thing though... I have done several iterations of different 1.10.2 custom packs that never broke 2.5 maybe 3GBs... I had around 30 mods. Major ones too. Something about these FTB packs is black holeing memory.

Yeah.... when FTB says it's recommended you use 4GB for these packs, it's a misnomer... It's a requirement. Recommended is more like 6GB.

Setting up a small vanilla server. Can't get ram above the default 100 mb ram

upon further review... I am using a 64 bit computer with the latest 64 bit java. The ticker was averaging around 60 mb ram while running the vanilla 11.10.2 between 1- 2 players. that being said, it did say that 5 percent of it was being used. 60*20 is ~1 gb, so it might be doing exactly what I...
