Automating the creation of Liquid Glowstone when engine needs it?

Steve's Factory Manager is really good for that. I had a similar issue when using a Forestry Squeezer to produce lava. It would start to run as soon as there is some room in the internal tank and since the recipe produces 2.000mb lava per step, it was wasting most of what it produces. SFM has a...

Agrarian Skys help, venting, and discussion thread

Gendustry removes a lot of the guessing and the tedious aspects from bee breeding. You still need at least some infrastructure first, because it takes quite a few diamonds when you get into the genetics and RF to run the Industrial Apiaries. But aside of that it is really straightforward. Look...

Alveary Sieves from Forestry, Sieve Upgrades in an Industrial Apiary from Gendustry or (discovered by accident) from killing butterflies. The easiest is probably to use Industrial Apiaries from Gendustry. Add a Sieve Upgrade and 4 Territory Upgrades and it will start to collect pollen from...

    Power for Agrarian skies?

Fluidducts are not really feasible. I think the limit it 80mb per connection (160mb when powered?), so you would need a lot of ports to suck 5200mb steam out of the reactor. You can build the turbine(s) right next to the reactor and have the output port of the reactor and the input port of the...

Agrarian Skys help, venting, and discussion thread

In past version it was also checking Nitor and Nodes for symmetry. This is not the case anymore, so you can build the charging station now close to the altar. And as you mentioned already, it also checks three layers beneath the altar. I just filled a 7x7 area under the altar with clusters (not...

    Power for Agrarian skies?

After PurpleMentat mentioned in his recent video, what amount of materials are required for the final quests (Yikes! :)), I finally maxed out my own reactor and built a few more Laser Drills. The reactor is an actively cooled 7x4x7, a 3x3 core and cooled with Cryotheum. It runs 3 turbines...

Agrarian Skys help, venting, and discussion thread

If you have bees and some pollen collected, then I would suggest to invest an hour or so in Gendustry. I've got a single 3x3 tree farm with turbocharged Apple Oak trees and that is enough for 130ish barrels. And still enough of a surplus to add another 40-50 barrels. But yeah, 650k is a lot. At...

Get dust out of ingots with applied energistics

You could simply use the Induction Smelter to smelt Iron + Ferrous ingots directly into Invar.

Extra Utilities Drum - Need Help

Assuming you mean EnderIO's fluid conduits, you can click on them with a filled bucket. Then the conduits are locked to this specific fluid and nothing else can go into the drum.

    Imagine this...

Even if you have enough power to run all stages, it is still much better to switch between torque and speed stage. The difference in throughput between doing that and just running at constant torque/speed is absolutely huge. (And I've never seen issues with the CVT either.)

Bound Armour + Sigil of Growth + Master Orb

And I just used the gazillion bones from the mob farm and 9 Autonomous Activators. The 50k Lettuce quest was done in less than 2.5 hours, the 10k tomatoes took 30-40 minutes. (One of the great things in this pack, lots of different ways to get the quests done.)

i need someone who is really pro with big reactors turbines plz

You don't need it, because you can build a closed system. (The water is getting "recycled".) Put two cooling ports on the reactor, two fluid ports on the turbine. Set one of each to Input, the other to Output. Add a Tesseract to each of these ports. Reactor Input: Tesseract set to "Receive...

i need someone who is really pro with big reactors turbines plz

Not an expert either, but here would be my approach. 1. You know how much steam your reactor generates and want to build a turbine for it. Example: 1.200 Steam available - Number of Enderium blocks for 1800rpm = 1.200 / 54 = 22 blocks -> 3 coils, one of the coils is built with only 6 blocks...

    Big Reactors & Dynamos

Gelid Cryotheum >will< help. The best designs for a passively cooled reactor perform also really well when turning them into actively cooled reactors for steam generation. One big advantage of using BR's reactor and turbine together, is that you can make it a closed system. Water is turned into...

Starting over or waiting for 1.7 packs to come?

Play another 1.6.4 pack for a change of pace. Agrarian Skies is simply amazing (Modded skyblock with quests!) and Blood'n Bones also sounds really interesting (if you look for a challenge).

    Good Big Reactors setup

Here two Google docs with different setups (I didn't create them, just found the links when researching possible setup): Big Reactors 2.0.12 The numbers are different now, but the best setups from that version are still valid now. Big Reactors 3.0.x Also includes some of the steam output...

Agrarian Skys help, venting, and discussion thread

Really nice setup, but these numbers mean that you are running at 900 rpm. Wouldn't a 1.800 rpm turbine be quite a bit cheaper? The same 84k RF could be achieved with 4 only turbines, 7x7x15 each. 9 rotors with 72 blades, 4 coils with 32 Enderium blocks. Uses 1760 mb steam, rotates at 1830 rpm...

    Agrarian Skies: Autonomous Activator

Did you set the activator to work downwards? (One of the buttons in the interface. Same as if you would have an activator a block above and to the side of a sieve.) Then it should bone meal the patch of land in front of it and you could pick the items up using a Vacuum Hopper.

    FTB monster Ore distribution

Thanks, Eyamaz. And understood. :) But wasn't that already the case with he original ore gen? You would normally have a mine at 45-50 for the common ores, like Iron, Copper and Tin. And then another mine further down for the rarer stuff like Redstone, Gold, Diamonds etc. Probably it's just me...

Big reactor control in Agrarian Skies

For an actively cooled reactor you probably want a constant steam output, which means a constant rod percentage. I simply use a Rednet Control Port and a Programmable Rednet Controller (from MFR) to set the value directly. The first item in the PRC list (I think Adder/Analog) allows you to set...
