Try walking a long distance away, then back to reload the chunk. I think there is ctrl-f or something to reload chunks as well. If it still doesn't do what you want, and you just want a chunk to load and don't care what was in it before, you could edit the chunk out, and it should re-generate...

1.7.10 Mystcraft has been interesting. I spawned into a new world, and actually fell through a star fissure to appear back at spawn. Don't know what happened to the age's stone spawn platform. But my worst age was a 1.6.4 age with meteors, that took out the spawn platform with the linking book...

I've had that happen in, I think it was 1.5.2, or maybe the old 1.4.7(?) packs. Don't remember it in 1.6.4. I think it's just lag. I have had it in 1.7.10. I think it happens at the edge of what you load in when you log into the game. So like 8 chunks away, or something like that. I remember...

If it's 1.7.x it might be cause redstone engines aren't powerful enough to power pumps any more. Might try a magmatic / lava engine/dynamo. Prime the engine with a bucket of lava, then have the pipe from the pump run to the engine, then to your endertank/tank/etc I literally just had the same...

Did you use a sync clone? Is it possible the heart is in the other clone? I've always wondered about that.

It's most likely user specific is my guess, tho I only play single-player, so I don't *think* it would have happened to anyone else's Thaumcraft progress at the same time, but can't be sure.

Not sure what version you're running (1.6.4 or 1.7.x) but in 1.6.4 there were instances where the Thaumcraft 'database' where it stored research, things you had unlocked, etc could be corrupted. I forget where it's stored, but you could try deleting it and seeing if scanning and everything...
