    What am I missing?

My two main thoughts are: How much ram are you assigning to Minecraft? 4 gb is ideal, too much can cause issues just as well as too little. What Java version are you using. In order to assign 4 gb you'll need a 64bit version of Java.

Nodes in silverwood logs or obsidian totems enjoy natural protection against bullying (and they won't bully others either).

The pure daisy can purify water source blocks into snow, but unless you using a floating one, be sure that it doesn't get washed away.

Thaumic tinker's mob spawning system might be able to help, but I don't know exactly which aspects you'll want for it. EDIT: After a quick search You'll need Ignis and two Volatus.

The Railcraft Steam Boiler to take an example is made of a square of either Liquid or Solid Fueled Fireboxes (1x1, 2x2 or 3x3) and a cuboid of High or Low Pressure Boiler tanks (Which are simply two iron or steel plates one above the other). All the multiblock blocks in railcraft have a...

Duritos, is about the same as Unbreaking III, but it's mechanics are different to that of Unbreaking. 50% chance to do nothing, 10% chance to use 2x durability, 40% chance to use no durability. This works out about the same as Unbreaking III, but if you are unlucky it could break the tool faster.

alternatively use a floating pure daisy, then it can convert on the sides too.

Obsidian + ender pearl was for beheading. Obsidian Plate was for reinforced. Diamond is a +1k durability on the tool. (And grants the tool The same mining level as diamonds have.) Emerald is a +50% durability on the tool. (And I believe grants Iron mining level) On the former two I don't know...

What cool little thing have you discovered today?

A useful time saver i found out by accident today was that right clicking Livingrock onto the runic alter when it's finished consuming mana, will "drop" the livingrock on top of the alter. The same trick as the petal apothecary applies to it too.

If you don't want to use the MFR Laser, the Orechid is a magical alternative that changes nearby stone to ores at a heavy mana cost. The botania-native way of silk touching these would be using the weight lens to drop the ores onto a torch or similar.

Automate an endoflame and you'l have about 20 dayblooms in one. Alternatively if you are lucky enough to get overgrowth seeds, planting a passive flower on that will prevent it decaying at all, but that's a massive oppertunerty cost from not being able to overgrowth boost a high-tier...

    Help with hungry node...

Bear in mind, the more of a primal the hungry node has, the less chance it has of growing in that primal. The thrown in object attempts to give one of it's primal aspects to the node, it's like if you put it though a deconstruction table, then used whatever that gave to attempt to grow the node...

rhn's continued adventures: a build journal, guide collection etc.

Yeah... Terrasteel (and the other botania armors) got a pretty big visual upgrade in a later version of botaina, but no longer shows the goggles of revealing as clearly (if it does at all, I also don't remember the exact version this happened). Also doesn't seem like it's soratexified either...

Black lotuses and overgrowth seeds are two things I know are blacklisted from the Loonium. Usually the main thing i'm using it for are things like division sigils. (But i usually get a nice amount of iridium and other misc. stuff as a sideproduct waiting for the things I am using it for.)

There are no modifiers for self-repair, but wood very-very slowly repairs a tool with it's Ecological trait. It also occasionally splinters you.

You can combine a terra shatterer with an elementium pickaxe for the shatterer to inherit the elementium pickaxe's disposal ability.
