well a question i would like to know is that if you continue with 1.7.10 will the work you do there beable to transfer to 1.8 or is 1.8 a complete rewrite.

Remember that the chunk has to be loaded for an hour i believe so that is probably why alot of people can seem to get them to respawn.

You can get more money by selling to the junk merchant, by doing some of the custom npc quests or going to middle earth and killing/questing there.

Your Not suppose to kill the ancient theres a quest you will get that gives you the key for that lock

there are gather golems they just get caught on the fencing around chickens alot. i think Great Orator said they respawn after an hour but im not sure it may be a day he said earlier in forums a while back.

All the Quest NPC's will respawn after some time.

Try setting the download server in FTB launcher options to CurseCDN
