    Smallish request: please consider adding some way to get mana beans. If thaumcraft quests are planned, perhaps as repeatable quests for the primal seeds, else crafting recipes.

    You should be able to look at the hive from a distance and see that it's active based on bee particles. Not sure what you mean by 'the one that is put in to keep the hive going'. When you put a princess and a drone in a hive, they are both 'consumed' to make a queen. No other bees are necessary.

    you should be able to place cacti normally. use a normal cactus block, not the seeds, make sure it's on sand, and make sure there's not a solid block next to where it would grow.

    when you say 'set to pull' it makes me think maybe you were just using the pipe? im referring to the sorter, which is the advanced version. normal pipes do just pull 1 at a time, but the sorter does a stack. didnt test with a barrel tho, so that may be the difference too.
