    1.12.2 Power Generation

Once you have your water in the system, you should be able to close the loop and never worry about it again. Each Turbine can use a max of 2000mb/t of steam, which gets turned into water to be shipped back to the Reactor. I haven't played with it since it was Big Reactors, so it may have...

Those little things that irk you about Minecraft

Did Another One Bites The Dust get rolled into Forge, and if not, why not? Having a predictable dust, nugget, ingot, block, etc for any random ingot that a mod should add was nice. I've heard of such a thing, but never seen it used. If you find out which mod does that, let me know. I'm...

    Revelation, another useless FTB pack

Right, but given probability and a nearly infinite world, this is bound to happen eventually. If you find it happens too often, spreading each out a touch more should, in theory, reduce the crossover chance. Of course, what happens logically and in theory doesn't always translate to actuality.

It should. I can't guarantee it for 1.12, as I'm lagging behind the curve, but it has worked (similar to keeping the energy stored within) in previous versions.

    [Direwolf20 1.12.x] Riddle78's Questions & Musings

Ahh, I misunderstood what it did, apparently. I was thinking the Redstone Breaker was a flip switch (like the power breaker) would shut off redstone signal, much like a cooler Vanilla lever.

    [Direwolf20 1.12.x] Riddle78's Questions & Musings

For your shutoff switch on the Resource Engine, doesn't Immersive Engineering have a Redstone Breaker? It would look like an old school power main switch. I know they have one for power, and I think (may be dreaming) there is a redstone option as well.

Cryostabilized Fluxducts have no throughput limits. That's the fastest way to move massive power, although be mindful that many storage options have limited input rates which can be troublesome.

Issues with Storage Drawers in 1.12.2

If a single Servo isn't fast enough to keep up, try adding more (if you have the space). Each one should reach it's max throughput independently, which can move significantly more materials than one alone. This is, of course, if you are certain your storage can keep up.

Issues with Storage Drawers in 1.12.2

If you wanted to sort your quarry loot before it enters your ME system, I recommend a buffer chest. You can use a blacklisted Retriever (or Filter of you have a servo pushing) on ME Interface to pull everything you want in, while not allowing the bits you blacklist. Another Retriever (or...

    Early/Mid game automated mining DW20 1.12.2 V1.6

An option not discussed is to use the Builder you have, but use a Thermal Energy Cell to buffer the amount of power it can consume. If you set the max output if the cell to something sustainable, it should leave enough power for the rest of your grid. Then as infrastructure grows, you can...

Issues with Storage Drawers in 1.12.2

A valid workaround for some uses, but it should be noted that the Vanilla Hopper has throughput issues if things are coming in fast, such as from a quarry.

I haven't read the whole article , but it should shed some light on your inquiry.

I love that we've covered real world geology and geography in a Minecraft thread. Probably not super useful for most, but it amuses me, nonetheless.

Issues with Storage Drawers in 1.12.2

I'm not playing 1.12 yet, but a workaround might be to ditch the controller and just run ducts along the back of the drawer wall, like we used to do with old school barrel walls. Maybe keep the controller for single point extraction, unless that gives you issues as well.

Not to further derail things, but I found this: I live surrounded by the center variety, which is closer to the texture of Diorite. Due to the different minerals available during creation, the composition and color can range pretty far. Somebody get Chisel to give me options. I demand this...

My biggest issue with granite is reality. I happen to live in an area with an abundance of granite, and red is not even close to the right color.

What cool little thing have you discovered today?

I'm assuming the Holding enchantment works on it as well?

Agree that LootTweaker is a great option. I've seen ++Loot used before, but I'm not sure if it's 1.12 ready (nor have I used it myself). If you have Ruins or Recurrent Complex (which I know you do), they have their own loot tables you can adjust, which is per structure if I recall correctly...

    Revelation, another useless FTB pack

I look forward to seeing what you come up with. I especially enjoy reading through development threads, either the theorycraft like when @Drbretto was setting up his pack, or the aftermath threads which break down the challenges along the way and lessons learned. Watching the pack come...
