[CHALLENGE] (v4.3-ish 6/7/18) Refugee to Regent Kingdom Building Challenge

I could certainly alter it to allow for different effects at various y-levels, but terrain being what it is, it can sometimes end up being nonsensical if it isn't all relative to the calculated surface level where the player happens to be. If I just say effect 1 happens below y=50 for example...

[CHALLENGE] (v4.3-ish 6/7/18) Refugee to Regent Kingdom Building Challenge

Just a quick note for those that remember that dinky mod I made back in 2015 for R2R about wearing a helmet while underground... Yeah, that one. Well, I dusted it off and updated it for 1.7.10, 1.8.9, 1.9.4, and 1.10.2. I'll probably update it again for 1.11.2 later today just to get it off...

[CHALLENGE] (v4.3-ish 6/7/18) Refugee to Regent Kingdom Building Challenge

Actually Additions Canola Powergen (Oil Generator setup) is the only thing I really think is significantly out of balance. The rest of the mod has a fair bit of work involved to get going, but that powergen is nuts.

Pokes @The Mobius Archives in true Navi fashion. "Hey, listen!" Are you getting backlogged with the holidays, or did a Turkey abscond with your latest video submissions? ;) Personally, I'm suspecting you're behind by about 2 submissions.

[CHALLENGE] (v4.3-ish 6/7/18) Refugee to Regent Kingdom Building Challenge

I really hope the Minecolonies folks keep moving forward with their mod, it really does have potential to be good. It's just not quite there yet. Between Minecolonies and Custom NPCs, I'm pretty happy. If I ever got bukkit/spigot compatability, I'd really like to get Citizens/Denizens...

[CHALLENGE] (v4.3-ish 6/7/18) Refugee to Regent Kingdom Building Challenge

Actually I think the 1.10.2 modspace is shaping up pretty good right now. I fiddled with the HermitCraft pack for a bit, but never got the framerates I liked with it, so I started one from scratch right from the Curse launcher (custom profile). It largely has many of the same mods as...

[CHALLENGE] (v4.3-ish 6/7/18) Refugee to Regent Kingdom Building Challenge

I left in IC2, but I might try taking that out too. I've already got EnderIO and Tinker's Construct in there. I did add Roguelike Dungeons without any problems.

[CHALLENGE] (v4.3-ish 6/7/18) Refugee to Regent Kingdom Building Challenge

I finally got around to loading the full pack, and updating several of the mods to their current versions. However I noticed a LOT of game lag from what I'm used to. What kind (if any) game lag are you noticing? Ultimately I had to take out the Tech Reborn and Actually Additions stuff as they...

[CHALLENGE] (v4.3-ish 6/7/18) Refugee to Regent Kingdom Building Challenge

I've had that happen before (dropping clicked items), and not just with @fimbrethil's pack. Not sure what causes it, nor have I pinned down exactly what fixes it.

[CHALLENGE] (v4.3-ish 6/7/18) Refugee to Regent Kingdom Building Challenge

I don't know if I'd agree with that 100%. I think as time goes on in a world and you get more things built, you run the risk of increased lag from everything that gets created if you aren't mindful of what you're putting down. Some mods are pretty good about this, some are downright awful when...

[CHALLENGE] (v4.3-ish 6/7/18) Refugee to Regent Kingdom Building Challenge

Oh no! That blows! While it'd be very cool to see you start fresh with a clean slate and some relatively stable mods, it really sucks losing so much work.

Refugee to regent challenge pack [WIP][HQM]

Did you try Rags to Riches yet? It's available on the Curse launcher. I'm working on a 1.10.2 version of a modpack for the challenge, but I don't know if enough of the "would really like to have" mods are ready for 1.10.2 yet.

Refugee to regent challenge pack [WIP][HQM]

"Rags to Riches" is the most recent attempt by someone to make a mod pack to accompany the challenge. So far it seems promising, but I haven't heard anything from the pack maker in a few days. He might be neck deep in HQM design madness.

Did the update get posted yet? I've been holding off on downloading it.

No problems, happy to help. I think spoilage is on, set to 7 days by default.

I saw your tweaks to HungerOverhaul as well, pretty fair for the most part, though I'm not a fan of the food stack size thing. If I go to all the trouble to make something nourishing, I don't want it to take a ton of space in my inventory as well! :)

[CHALLENGE] (v4.3-ish 6/7/18) Refugee to Regent Kingdom Building Challenge

I found your evil tweak to Agricraft. Not only do you keep weeds turned on, but you increased the frequency of them and had them destroy crop sticks too. Soooo evil.

[CHALLENGE] (v4.3-ish 6/7/18) Refugee to Regent Kingdom Building Challenge

Temporarily turned off Sanity and Air Quality in Enviromine because they're distracting. Body Temp/Hydration and Food Spoilage is quite enough to deal with for me at the moment. I'll turn them back on when I'm farther along in testing. I don't have an issue with the monster spawns right now...

[CHALLENGE] (v4.3-ish 6/7/18) Refugee to Regent Kingdom Building Challenge

Once you have your book(s) written, place them in the player's inventory with whatever else you want the player to start with on a new game, and type /startinginv save. Then start a new world, everything should be cool.
