[Help?]BDCraft with Dw20 addons = TONS OF RAM?

holy crap. Why would anyone need a texture pack more than 128x? That's insane! Heck, IMAO, 64x is pushing it! D:

Go 'head, if we like them, we'll put them in with credit to you! :)

    Minechem 2 PR1 - The chemistry mod.

Omicron: Not true. Where EE2 broke was collectors. Getting energy that can be turned into matter from the sun is what broke it, not turning iron into diamonds and back. Because, dammit, I want to turn iron into dirt, and I will turn my iron into dirt!

    High resolution texture pack please

I think the problem is that there aren't many people whose computers can handle all the tech mods and 512x512 textures.

    Better With Forge?

Look, SpaceGuyR! It's a signature! From your signature, you believe the Forge crew are responsible for this. They are not. It was always inevitable. Most mods in this community run on Forge. Better than Wolves does not. People wanted Better than Wolves with Forge. Some anonymous person provided...

    32x [32x] JohnSmith Technician's Remix

People using it without Optifine: It may "work" without Optifine, but you won't get the best experience. (animated textures, water, lava, the fonts) Use at your own risk. Glowstone/Lantern look: We've been over this in the past. If you want lanterns, Notch included them in the game for you...

How did YOU customize your Minecraft experience?

A decent texture pack, you say? Look no further than the JohnSmith Technician's Remix contained within these very forums! 32x, but the classiest 32x of them all, and with absolutely brilliant mod support!

    Gregtech recipes = ridiculous?

The thing is, the macerator is only there to meet the demands of IC2. IC requires a huge amount of resources, and the macerator is there to provide those.

    32x [32x] JohnSmith Technician's Remix

OK, so here's the deal. First, use Optifine! Seriously, Optifine is required for 32x and above texture packs to actually work with any degree of decency. Secondly, the font colour in the GUIs is up to the mod, not the pack, hence why we can't change that. Thirdly, try turning your brightness up...

You'll get used to it, trust me.

SilentThief: we've tried many things, I tried adding a background thing behind the text, but it looked worse than transparent. Overall, transparent GUI is the JohnSmith style, and I like it.

Hmm? You mean in machines and such? That's largely intentional.

A single bucket of lava is not enough to update the GUI. :) The Geo-Gen holds a huge amount of lava.

I actually prefer Thermal Expansion, GT or no GT.

    GregTech Debate Thread

SeniLiX, the only problem is that blocks are used in many other mods besides IC2, often by people who don't want to touch the IC2 tech tree. GregTech, in its almighty wisdom, forces people to use IC2 and GT whether they want to or not. People with no intention to ever use IC2 or GregTech are...

    32x [32x] JohnSmith Technician's Remix

I, and possibly JohnSmith himself, (not sure about his reasoning) prefer 32x. 16x is too pixelated, but anything above a 32 is too smooth, and not very Minecrafty.

Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance. Fullstop. Best strategy game I ever played, the streaming economy is awesome.

    Auto bucket filler.

I don't know, man. I'd use the buckets. Even if you have a lot of tin, it's not a renewable resource, and why waste it if you don't have to? It's not like the water in the buckets can't be refilled infinitely, and you could use the constant drain on your tin to build other things instead. Also...

    Auto bucket filler.

Meldiron: yay for efficiency! Furious: better to use buckets. Cells will waste a lot of tin.

Not sure about cells, but cans and capsules for sure.
