The colored sides really aren't that complicated. Colored slot corresponds with same-colored side. You don't even really have to customize anything if you don't want to. Just put down a pulverizer, powered furnace, and chest all in a line, and you've already got a fully-automated ore...

    Welp, elo's alive

Oh goodie, just when I thought the RP2 debate was FINALLY winding down. BRB, gonna go pop some popcorn.

Lets See Some Bases! Give Us a Tour!

Yeah, it's from Railcraft. Version 7.1.0.0 (for MC 1.5.1/1.5.2) added seven different colors of decorative blocks, such as quarried and abyssal. And "blood stained," which I'm using heavily in my Magic room:

The black and white bricks are from Railcraft, actually. Abyssal and Quarried stone. But yeah, it's just the regular vanilla texture pack and they're new in 1.5.

    Bad nether portal spawns.

I had a diamond drill at the time so I didn't break anything, but I did have to double back to the overworld to recharge my batpack and drill at least once.

    Sorting System for Next World

Connect your Ender Chest to an import bus with an empty bucket in the filter, then have an interface with an empty->full bucket recipe sitting next to a liquid transposer filled with water. An export bus connected to the same Ender Chest dumps the filled bucket back in. You might need to do...

    Bad nether portal spawns.

Oh, now that I think about it, that actually happened to me once. I went to the Nether for some glowstone, but spawned in the middle of a giant mass of netherrack. I filled up my entire inventory with netherrack while digging a tunnel out of the mountain.

    Bad nether portal spawns.

I usually do alright with Nether spawns, but I've been having terrible luck with Overworld spawns lately, for some reason. In my first world after updating to 1.5.2, I spawned underwater. And died. And respawned. Underwater. Repeatedly. So that world got deleted. My next one put me...

    Renuable netherrack?

You could constantly mine the Nether 24/7 for the rest of your life and you still wouldn't run out of Netherrack.

    Sorting System for Next World

Oddly enough, this happens with most other kinds of sorting systems too. Most RP2 sorting systems look like other RP2 sorting systems. Most BC sorting systems look like other BC sorting systems. As for setting things up off-camera, what about the people who are new to AE? Not everyone who...

Lets See Some Bases! Give Us a Tour!

I'm doing a lot of remodeling and moving things around right now, so I don't have a lot to show, but I just finished my ethanol production and MJ power generation. The rest of my base is in shambles due to the remodeling (seriously, it looks like an armada of creepers hit it) so that's all...

Your second sorting machine appears to be backwards. The way it's facing now, items will come in through the unpainted tube and be output through the white-painted tube, which means that machine is effectively useless and, since its input is only 4 tubes away from the other sorting machine's...

    Can i ID/Tag base intruders?

My first thought was the MiscPeripherals Player Detector, but that only detects players who right-click it. There are plenty of ways to keep unauthorized people out of your base, such as MFFS or Thaumcraft warded stone or other things like that, and even more ways to detect that there is...

Retroactive worldgen means that you can add a mod with worldgen to a pre-existing world, and you will be able to find stuff from that mod without having to go to new chunks or generate a new Mystcraft age. It adds its worldgen items into chunks that already exist.

I know, right? In my latest 1.5.2 world, MPS lights were the first thing on my to-do list, even before the usual stuff like powered ore processing.

Ask a simple question, get a simple answer

I typically use the lights from the MPS power tool. I think they're called "Lux Capacitors." They look decent and don't cost any additional resources so once you add the module to the power tool, you effectively have infinite lights that you can place anywhere.

Applied Energistics keep x number of item in machine?

OpenPeripheral would work really well, actually. I'm already using it in my 1.5.2 world. It turns a whole ton of blocks from vanilla and other mods into peripherals that computers can interact with. Plop down a turtle and it can detect the inventory of an adjacent planter and transfer items into...

Applied Energistics keep x number of item in machine?

If you want to, you could add Logistics Pipes to your modpack. That can hook into your AE system through an ME interface and has a pipe that does exactly what you're asking. But no, I don't think there's a way to do that within AE itself.

Lets See Some Bases! Give Us a Tour!

Seconded. That would be pretty much the most awesome thing ever. Oh, I'm definitely going to do this next time I start a new world.
