    Thaumcraft 4.1 Aspects

Breaking one decently-sized node should give you enough auram to craft two or three silverwood wands.

Using the same flux pumps that you've made to stabilize the infusion altar?

Lets See Some Bases! Give Us a Tour!

Um, no. I crafted a full ichorium set on that altar, with no instability. I just hid all the stabilizing elements underneath the altar, where they wouldn't spoil the view.

Lets See Some Bases! Give Us a Tour!

Abyssal stone is actually one of my favorite building materials, due to it's smooth dark texture. Different strokes, I guess. I'm not a fan of the glowstone, either, but I don't really have a choice, given the blood magic mechanics. I've considered putting either abyssal stone or bloodstone...

It's some variation of cobblestone from Chisel. Not sure which one. Also, I renovated my basement. Carpenter's blocks are awesome. Yes, the floor is made of of blood runes.

    Shoop LP [YT Season 2]

They can be found in Thaumcraft barrows, too.

    Ritual of the Falling Tower

A solid well of suffering setup on a T5 altar can generate about 800-1000 LP per second. That supports one ritual every 16-21 minutes or so, disregarding the cost of teleposing the ritual stones away from the impact site. I was actually considering adding another pair of T5 altars to my blood...

Lets See Some Bases! Give Us a Tour!

I don't have a tree farm set up, but the distinguished gentlegolems manning the alchemical furnaces are Mr. Tulip, Mr. Pin, Mr. Croup, and Mr. Vandemar.

Lets See Some Bases! Give Us a Tour!

Well, yes, except my house is in a magical forest, and wisps don't spawn from sinister nodes. And like I said, nothing has ever spawned from the sinister nodes. And yes, the golems have dart launchers.

Lets See Some Bases! Give Us a Tour!

I'm using sinister nodes because they have a wider variety of compound aspects in them, as well as more vis overall than your average node. And because I'm a badass who isn't afraid of spawning furious zombies in her own home. Alphonse and Edward can take care of any that show up, but thus far...

Lets See Some Bases! Give Us a Tour!

Nope. Greatwood is flame-retardant. And Evilshallwin...I'm not sure you understand the balance mechanics in TC4. Each pedestal has another one diametrically opposed to it on the other side of the altar. I just mixed up the usual layout a bit to make it more visually interesting. Believe me...

Lets See Some Bases! Give Us a Tour!

I took some shots of my base last night. I'm kind of a blood magic and thaumcraft afficionado, and I enjoy making things look pretty. Here are some choice shots: The entire album is viewable here: http://imgur.com/a/afIh6

    Beginner's Guide to Blood Magic

Technically, you can use LP in your network to power rituals like the feathered knife or the well of suffering to fill your altar with LP.

    Blood-Magic

Actually, finding the shattered remains of altars in the world would be pretty cool. Maybe in nether fortresses? Or make them a rare village spawn and have a demon guarding it (and sacrificing the occasional villager)

    [0.5.1] Technomancy Discussion-Ore processing like a boss

How about some thaumic minecart stuff? TC mods seem to have stayed away from that particular aspect of Minecraft. It's pretty techy, and it might be a good way to help your mod stand out amongst the TC addons.

    [0.5.1] Technomancy Discussion-Ore processing like a boss

...yeah, I guess that thing does already convert essentia into vis. Derp.

    [0.5.1] Technomancy Discussion-Ore processing like a boss

Oooh, ooh, how about a Vis fabricator that takes essentia piped into it, stirs it judiciously with some RF, and then puts the vis into a little mini-node inside the block that you can draw from by hand with a wand or use with a wand recharging station? The more highly compounded the aspect, the...

    Beginner's Guide to Blood Magic

Way, you should add a "vegan" config option that lets you squeeze carrot juice into the altar instead of blood. #joking #notjoking

    [0.5.1] Technomancy Discussion-Ore processing like a boss

Yeah, vis is essentially the throttle that controls how fast you can progress in Thaumcraft. Until you build a node farm, you're pretty limited by how quickly the nodes near your base recharge. That said, the XP Drain wand focus from TT pretty much discards the limiter altogether and sticks a...

    The Thaumcraft 4.1 Experience

Good point. Having used both, I'd say that ichorcloth is better than fully tricked-out blood armor, but it's close. Blood armor offers more protection, but ichorcloth offers more mobility. Both have access to some neat unique perks, though - I'm particularly fond of how ichorcloth makes dirt...
