If you break and replace it, does the issue go away for awhile? I googled a bit, seems like other folks are having the same issue. I could not find any fix as of yet. TeamCoFH doesn't think its an issue with their stuff.

What pack are you using? There are other mods with better pipes that may be available to you, like EnderIO conduits. Or you could send all your items home via tesseract and let Applied Energistics do your sorting into DSU's, if your pack has AE.
