I'd say report it to the devs of KCauldron and run without Cauldron until it's fixed. No mod dev will accept a crash report that involves cauldron.

No not really. However, those screenshots were with no machines or bases in the background/foreground. If you are struggling to reach 40 FPS, you need to do some lag busting in you base.

Thanks for the data guys! It's interesting there is very little FPS difference between an Intel Pentium and an AMD FX-8320. And I can't imagine a i5 being a lot better then the pentium(unless the clockspeed bump makes a large difference.)

A pentium 4 is Intel...and define fine. Fine in my books is 40-60 fps in a developed base.

I've used it. It's based on the same OS as Ubuntu(I want to say Debian?). But it's DE(desktop environment) is significantly lighter. So it's ideal for old Pentium 4s.

I don't. :p The ones for "gaming" are, heavy, hot, expensive, and outdated in a year, and their processors are still inferior to a desktop pentium in terms of single threaded performance(the part that matters for gaming).

What's your CPU? If it's what I think it is(Pentium 4/Athlon 64), you're gonna have a bad time in modded MC.

A bit late to the party, but whatever. Linux also allows really heavy customization of your desktop. Anything from this to this. Or even this if you so choose.
