Hey people, I just started Regrowth again (restarted from scratch) and ended up with a funny situation. I just entered the nether and got a crappy spawn (over a lava lake with ghasts all around). I managed to secure the portal and hopped back in. The problem is that I ended up in a new portal...

A word of warning about the golems in the supplying the masses quest. Do not (accidently) place the golem down. I did that a few times. Once picked up, the golems are not recognized for the quest anymore.

One thing is exploration after you have retrieved all the cubes. I am close to being done (I think) mostly waiting for diamonds and finishing up the 'supplying the masses' quests of which I have 2 or 3 left. I have no reason anymore to explore the world and I just hang out in my base. Also...

I just got an awesome reward yesterday, 64 warded jars!! Except I am already done with Thaumcraft...

Do you have enough dirt under it? It grows into a 2x2 tree, so use 9 dirt and plant in the middle.

yeah, the spawn can be unlucky. Get the starting area blocked off asap. You do get a nice weapon right in the beginning though. For me, this pack is one of the best ones, together with Crash Landing and Regrowth :)

They did hint a maybe for the thaumcraft outer lands, but the repository has been inactive for 2 months (code wise). As for the lightning strikes, I mentioned a few posts up that you can punch a hole in the roof of the cubes. I did get rain in them, so maybe lightning is possible as well.

Make cobalt and ardite ore using the nether gate, the recipes aren't that expensive. Its the diamonds that is worrying me about that quest.

I know its possible to break the roof of a compact machine. I have a cube with a hole in it, and it sometimes rains in there. So maybe there is a proper day/night cycle in there. The hole was caused by a greatwood tree. Edit: Heck, there is even a slime island in the compact machine dimension

Also a tip, slab the path (from your base) to the spawn tower and ring it with fences. That way, if you die, mobs won't spawn on your route back to base. Or you could simply build your base around the spawn tower.

Did you have an interdiction torch put down when you broke the cube? It could have pushed the cube away. I also had an issue where a creeper explosion destroyed a cube I just 'mined' put not picked up yet.

Well you could capture/breed some animals and 'store' them when you hit the passive mob cap. That would stop others from spawning.

I have never played that pack, but if it has pneumaticcraft, that offers some protection.

I get lux from mushrooms! I've got a farm of the white mushrooms from pams. Mushrooms contain Tenebrea which can be centrifuged down into vacuous and lux :) Edit: This is a pic of my automated nitor setup.

Dig around! There is a new block which gives some basic resources. I believe there is a quest about it too, compound something.
