I have enough platinum for 10 runes, I believe, so I'll need to try and get some more TE cinnabar. Not quite enough pearls, but I don't worry about that as much any more. Anyone who is having pearl trouble should enable "Ominous Woods" in their BOP configs. I've had a lot of luck getting pearls...
And many multiples of Golden Apples were not able to do it either :(
So I'm guessing the only method is an amped up Regeneration potion? will that even work without Sacrifice runes?
I can't afford the Enderium for runes yet, it's 4 ingots per rune, and I only had enough to make a pair of...
Yup. Just tried it. Blood flows too slowly to be able to let you make the jump to the T3 Orb, even with 3 fluiduct connections. Which means I need some form of Vanilla regeneration to do it. Off to research!
I was derping/confused by the lack of blue arrows on the TE ducts when connecting to the altar, but setting them to neutral (no arrow) and having the tank set to output ended up working just fine. I was able to pump into the altar after all, once I changed the arrows. Still haven't tested going...
They don't drop seeds. They drop plants, like saplings, which you replant. There are no seeds.
In MF2, they don't even drop the plant currently.
Edit: which to be fair is hardly a major problem, because the stuff is everywhere. There is no shortage.
Anyone have any good suggestions for making the transition to T3 Altar in MF2?
I stored up a Hardened TE Tank full of Life Essence, but I haven't been able to get a fluiduct to pump it back INTO the altar, instead of out. Does it only do that from a certain side? Also I'm worried that it won't...
The History channel was never a good source for actual history documentaries anyways, the best history was/is on PBS. History channel's current focus on reality shows comes from executive decisions, not focus groups and public pressure. They have a very specific line up designed to emphasize...
It was really confusing not knowing what I was doing "wrong". Now I will not fear to move my altar anymore, just know that I need to throw in some extra blood to refill the buffer.
Will try. Wanted to try a magic mod besides Thaumcraft (which I've already made progress on) and it's already in the MF2 pack. Although a few things have had their cost increased quite a bit *cough sadistic jaded, wants enderium and blood*.
What I've gotten to mess with so far seems neat...
Did you come up with any work arounds, like filling it when it had work to do? I only just got started, got my first orb & 2 sigils, then I decided to move my altar and this happened :(
So is there a reason why in some locations my blood altar drains away any blood I put into it?
If I put it against a wall, it holds the blood, but if I move it to the middle of the room, it seems to lose about 20 LP a second until it empties out.
Nothing is inside it in either case.
I always imagined Blood Magic to be based on Mayan rituals (with the ziggarats and general aesthetics) so that would be palm or chest cutting, thank you. Done for a religious purpose rather then against it, presumably. Not sure really where the demons came in, other then they sounded rather...
That is not what happens in MF2 at least. If you punch the last bit away (or shear it, or axe it) then you just get another vanilla/cinnamon item, no plant.
Yeah I haven't been able to replant the spice plants in MF2 yet either.
2 things I haven't tried yet:
Silk Touch Shears/Axe
Wand Focus of Dislocation (I think this might work) from Thaumic Tinker
That is sort of the point. I mean effort/cost-wise we should admit that the Kami armor is WAY more expensive then the Runic, heck I think it might even be higher then a full suit of MPS armor (haven't messed with that mod much). It should be better. That's the point of the cost in effort and...
