    [1.7.10][LISTED] InfiTech 2 Modpack v3.2.21 [HQM][GregTech balanced hard-mode modpack]

I'm already missing the next part of your LP series :P

    the point of Gregtech picks

Let's see... GT iron pick has a durability of 25600, and IIRC the hardness of cobble is 100 (ore blocks is 150), so you get 256 uses. Vanilla iron pick has 251 uses according to the Wiki, so if you break cobble or softer blocks only, GT durability is higher (but of course you use 4 iron ingots...

    [1.7.10][LISTED] InfiTech 2 Modpack v3.2.21 [HQM][GregTech balanced hard-mode modpack]

Probably hard to check now, but there are weird issues with multiblocks across chunks. I've had my EBF stop working completely after teleporting out and back again, until I moved it to be completely in one chunk. Now the boiler might have been in multiple chunks, or the water supplier in a...

    Request cauldron alternatives

That's your opinion. I won't rehash it here, but there's enough substance there to not dismiss it out of hand, so real legal advice is required.

But ore is also harder than cobble, so elkillo is basically right. The "longer than vanilla" depends on the material the pick head is made of.

This is why markup languages were invented.

Adding a couple mods the Direwolf20 1.7 pack?

If the server is still fresh, not too many chunks have been generated. If you move, say, 1000 blocks out you should get fresh chunks including new ores.

    Request cauldron alternatives

Since it's not completely and obviously bogus, only lawyers can answer that, and lawyers are expensive.

Any macerator from HV upwards should give you byproducts. http://ftb.gamepedia.com/GregTech/Mining_and_Processing says that the Thermal Centrifuge also gives 2nd byproduct.

    Thermal expansion

It should accept from cell or dynamo. If not that's a bug and will be hopefully fixed in the next pack version. What works in any case is to use a generator from EnderIO (Stirling is enough) instead of TE.

    Thermal expansion

Iron and redstone are mid-tier? Howat? Actually I'm quite glad, it shows people there is more to the pack than TE.

Taking a look in FTB again. 1.7 Worth?

No worries :D It's just a little sore point with me.

Taking a look in FTB again. 1.7 Worth?

The thing is, it is very common among programmers to think of everyone else's code as crappy. There are many objective criteria for bad code, but at least as many subjective ones. It's very easy, but ignorant (not accusing you of that, just speaking in general) to criticize a piece of code, or...

Bug Very frustrated with FTB: Resurrection

Agreed. I'm not a fan of "you might lose the machine anyway". Lucky that GT wrenches work on IC2 blocks :)

Really stupid things that people have said about Modded MC(Off topicness makes moderators tired)

Very clear and thoughtful. Although I have no hopes that it reaches those who'd need to read it most.

"I am not into programming but I know perfectly how crappy the Minecraft code is." Seems legit.

But that wouldn't cause less load :)

What is that supposed to achieve?
