I also liked my setup for food RF production. Steve's carts wheat farm -> RFTools crafter making wheat flour -> smelting into bread -> smelting into toast (from Pam's Harvestcraft I believe) -> Culinary gen's. Yeah power is quite good, was also nice to build :D

For overpowered mob spawnign, like soul shards was, use the Stabilized Spawner from Draconic Evolution. Upgraded to tier 3 it's just pumping out the monsters.

To explain how I did it: Farm wither skulls with a draconic evolution stabilized spawner and upgraded to tier 3. Have a turtle deploy soul sand and wither skulls in a 5x5x6 blocks big room of warded blocks from thaumcraft. There's one block missing in one corner, so the turtle can safely leave...

Can also be shut off with just a few vanilla redstone lamps. This could be done once you reached X amount of mob essence for example. So you'll never have to worry about it :b
