    Yes, to calculate steam recipes from LV machine recipes do: 1EU/t = 2L Steam/t and 2x the time as LV recipes. High pressure steam macines run 50% faster (66% of normal steam machines, 133% of LV machines) but need 2x as much steam per tick.

    I would always search vertically. Even trough it sometimes takes longer to find the exact ores you are looking for at that time, you can find and mark many other oreveins at that time so you search less later.

    It should use up the blocks it places down for you. Is that not the case, you likely have a bug or it sees you in creative mode.

    That issue comes from GT rising the energy value of coolant 4x. Before the smallest heat Pack was 10, now it is 40. This does results in the shown behavior, and forces you to adjust your Setup to fit it, but on the up side, your hot coolant is worth much more.

    Look at the minimum EU/t for the recipes in NEI, then you know the requires voltage. Most metal processing recipes work with MV, some high tier metals need HV.

    Can you upload a screenshot of your setup? But typical errors are connecting to the wrong side of the generator or trying to input energy into the front of an machine.
