Ask a simple question, get a simple answer

A 36HP would require a bit less than a sawmill (full time), and a LP one would build up reserves at an alarming rate. Basically, if your boiler seems not to be full time consuming wood, as long as it still heats up, you are good. Afterwards, if the wood input is the same, you will have more...

Ask a simple question, get a simple answer

Would you happen to use some weird frames from thaumic bees? Because if not, then your installation is bugged somewhere. If you breed two bees with the exact same traits and species, there should not be mutations. There are a few exceptions to that rule, where some bees do breed with itself...

    Best Y Coord

http://forum.feed-the-beast.com/threads/ftb-mindcrack-pack-ore-heights.4702/ All packs have the same ore heights (all FTB packs at least). As for emeralds, it seems to be located in extreme hills, not sure about other biomes.

Launcher 1.2.4 and drop in FPS

No, the launcher seems about the same. But the Javaw.exe from Minecraft, on the other hand takes the "normal" resources again. Before, my laptop would clearly use more resources (resulting in my fans having to turn a bit faster and louder). In a previous thread, I read about the difference...

why when I try to join my server, it say internal server error?

A copy of your log to pastebin.com would be helpful to even be able to understand what is happening. I would like to point out that "internal server error" is usually used when referring to the pseudo server that runs your SSP world, so that makes the whole thing a bit confusing without a log.

Launcher 1.2.4 and drop in FPS

That's definitely not the point here. I would like that this thread does not turn into a flame over "can you see the difference between 30 and 60 FPS". The only thing that is certain is that the game is way less responsive with less than 60 FPS than it was at 120. Also, Minecraft being what...

Launcher 1.2.4 and drop in FPS

Hello, Before I updated the launcher, I had a stable 125 FPS. In my base, it dropped a bit, to 100-110, but still very high for what I cared. Now, I get a frame rate that is bellow 60. It needs to be noted that the pack is exactly the same, as so is the base. Now, I know that the...

Space click is also a reliable way to crash your client if the inventory in question is a forestry backpack.

Old Adeptcraft - A collection of memories

Not sure what went wrong yesterday, but could you tell us what is wrong now? Maybe we could help you figuring it out, like with the coordinates thing.

    passive/peaceful mobs

Mute the sounds, and the explosion will only have visual. As machines explosions don't cause a visual explosion (at least some of them don't), it will greatly reduce risks.

    Dull shard

Yeah, but you can't argue that the wands and golems are really worth it, and that the research system is many times more interesting than the old "spam cobble generator on the thing". Crystal capacitors are a really good way to actually store vis, as pointed above, and you want a lot of vis...

Ask a simple question, get a simple answer

The only two bees taken into account for the children are the princess and the drone that are consumed when the queen is created. The possible remaining drones in the drone slot only serve as a way to store up to 63 of them, and is rather pointless in most situations. I hope it clears the...

Max Power for the Matter Fabricator

"packet size per a tick" and "8192EU/t per Tick". It might be lines like those that don't help in the confusion between "per packet' (/p) and "per tick" (/t). A packet is how much energy is generated or output by a single machine. 8192/p means that it would not accept the power coming from a...

Old Adeptcraft - A collection of memories

32 chunks (region is 32x32) is only 512, right. I should have looked up the actual dimensions of a chunk before posting that.

Is Java a gift to modders?

Ok, the correct term is "interpreted" language, not scripting, but the fact remains that their most powerful feature of being interpreted at runtime is also arguably their weakest point. When used for small programs, or hooking into other languages for specific tasks, they do a great job, and...

Manager to hold all that isn't asked for?

I'll say this for the sake of your world, don't use managers. They do have a nasty crash associated to them that will make it so that you need to erase your region from the world in order to be able to still play in it.

Old Adeptcraft - A collection of memories

8300 5500 is relatively near where the actual block causing the error was. Those coordinates are where the original poster of this thread is trying to build his village (and loosing his villagers). I do hope that he doesn't loose his build due to the crash, because he already lost his SSP...

Is Java a gift to modders?

The language I enjoy the most is unknown and under used... Why is ruby never considered when talking about scripting languages, when it does its job really well, and is really easy to learn? Ok, that was out of topic, because the only thing that let you use Ruby as a modding language is RPG...

    [DW20] Thaumcraft Enchantment Questions

Well, either it works, or I have been extremely lucky with random numbers. I managed to get 1-2 for each tree I used it on, but it was only 8 trees between my ssp and the smp.
