There should be log files in the root directory of your FTB server, ends in ".log".

Does it show which server your husband has in advanced settings?

Did you mix the logs perhaps? His log says it connected to server. Also, use the button on the console to send log in pastebin, those are missing information that you have now.

You are running out of memory. "java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space" You have same JVM flag twice for example: "JVM Flags: 4 total; -Xms256M -Xmx1024M -XX:PermSize=256m -Xmx512M" Remove the last one (-Xmx512M)

Ahh, again another victim of this bizarre connection problem! Try installing FTB again and keep firewall off during it.

Go to advanced setting and change the download location, maybe creeperhost is having problems again...

Go to NVIDIA control panel and force it to use the card with Minecraft. Seems its trying to run it with integrated crappy Intel graphics chip.
