You can also try the Piezoelectric Tile from Engineer's Toolbox. It produces energy when entities walk on them. I haven't tried it but it should probably work with slimes.

Can you give more details on your setup? Cobblestone gets smelted into Basalt so needs more than just a regular crafting recipe. I don't think anyone can tell you what you're doing wrong without knowing your setup.

What's new in modded minecraft today?

I believe slimegrass can be found on the floating slime islands Ninja'd

Monsterpack with GT, can't find basic ores.

As far as I know, redstone/diamonds should be as common to find as vanilla minecraft (maybe even more common depending on the config). I believe that Monster uses COFH to generate most things so you can check the config to see what it's set to. I'm not familiar with Galacticraft but Gregtech...

Should ic2 be boycotted untill the power system is fixed ??

    So for stupid math tricks, here's what I usually do (and did in this case): Multiply 4100 * 4 = 16400 Subtract 4100 - 4096 = 4 Multiply 4 * 4 = 16 Subtract 16400 - 16 = 16384 For whatever reason, I find this easier to do in my head than 4096 * 4

For getting rid of water you can use OpenBlocks Sponge. I think it might be one use per Sponge but there might be a config for that.

Although it's still the shift key, please note that you won't see any aspects for an object until you've scanned it with the Thaumostatic scanner.

    Future of GeoStrata and DyeTrees

I personally like both the crystals and stone from geostrata but I still voted to have the crystals moved. I love Geostrata for the building materials that it provides (even if it does fill up your inventory quite rapidly) but the Crystals seem more of a Magic type artifact, and seem to me to...

    Agriculture Plants

I'm pretty sure you should be able to replant the spice plants. Once you knock the spices off the plant the last bit can be punched off. You should then be able to plant that bit in tilled soil. As far as I know, though, there's no way of getting more seeds without finding plants in the wild.

It might be the IC2 Terraformer. I'm not sure if it's still in IC2 and working but if it's there you can try it.

This is correct. Crops will grow slower indoors.

I see this in the Factorization config. You can try changing it to false: # Set to false to disable broken bedrock spawning around dark iron ore B:generateBrokenBedrock=true

I'm not sure but they have already stopped development on ic2 1.6.4 and have moved development to a 1.7 environment. So this will only be an issue if you end up moving the world from 1.6 to 1.7.

    Greg, you've done it...AGAIN !!!

Nonotan on the IC2 forums has a few guides that he's done listed in his profile. This one will give you a pretty good idea of what to expect.

Lots of questions surrounding ram usage for server, and clients

Something you can try to see if the bottleneck is CPU or memory: open task manager. Under the Performance tab you can see CPU usage as well as memory usage. Try to create a new world on your nephew's computer. You should be able to see if either the memory or CPU usage caps out.
