    The problem there is that would only fill the pack if it has 75% or less water left. Granted, I see little reason to refill a pack that still has that much water I tried several different ways to get it to fill in one step, but it never wanted to work.

    Make an ex nihilo stone barrel, fill it with lava and right click it with a redstone dust. End stone can be aquired by using glowstone instead.

    Hmm...maybe the internal buffer on the conduit kept pushing energy in, but with the cell connected directly and off it actually did stop the power flow? Whatever the cause, glad you got the setup working correctly!

    I will give you that point, for that one i usually open up a hole over it and jump in, break it, and derp pole back out. Use the chamber as armor, don't let the monsters use it.

    Obvious question first, is your base chunkloaded and are all of the components that went boom in the same chunk? And is there anyway anything turned the system back on after you left? (autocrafting task, stray redstone signal...)

    Well, I've just sieved 5 stacks of stone and so far have an essence berry bush and a tin oreberry bush. There is definitely a better than 0% chance to sieve the berry bushes!
