    Oh that's brilliant! So Lightning creeper griefs something and charges a nearby dark creeper. Then the charged dark creeper griefs something and "destroys the sun". Hah! I love it!

    Good info and ideas. I haven't done rituals yet so I was pretty confused for a bit there. Then I remembered the ritual of suffering or whatever it is and that makes sense. How big of area do you get with the ritual? With the dagger, the mobs have to be within 2 blocks of the altar.

    Yeah, they only spawn if you're close enough and I think they might despawn is you're more than 25(?) blocks away like normal mobs, but not sure on that. Set it up in a test world and it seems to be quite slow. Like 2 or 3 per day spawning here. I guess if it's in your base you can let them...

    I started with the self-sacrifice and spirit water, but you only get like half a heart back every 5 seconds or so. So it's really slow. Haven't tried golems yet. Hmmm.. Sacrificing hostile mobs gives 500 LP per kill. Passive mobs give 250, but are much easier to deal with. Yeah, animal...

    If you want to force it, make the change Blarg mentioned above (B:debugTickMain=true instead of false in HostileWorlds.cfg) and then have an OP or the console do "/hw invasion start" to force it to spawn. Of course that removes the randomness of the event, but that's up to how you want to play...

    Mobs hate that you're changing their world. Try natural items at first (dirt, stone) rather than thing you create (torches, farmland, saplings, cobblestone anything, etc...) And... good luck to you. :)

    1.1.2 had obsidian towers made of MFR obsidian blocks (not real obsidian) 1.1.3 had obsidian towers made completely of real obsidian. 1.1.4/5 has a few different types of towers, but you won't find much mossy anything or real obsidian in them. 2.x is planned to have new and super cool towers...
