items in tubes are rendered and handled different than items lying around. you can setup a small test drop 10.000 items on the ground. I can tell you the lag is horrible drop 10.000 into pipes. This isnt that bad

the launcher will have an option to distribute your own server pack by distributing a key-code to your people. Slowpoke said it in his livestream and in docm77 video "future about FTB"

if you want to do it manually you can just copy in the needed mods and configs. Just tried it and works like a charm with 60+ mods running (ugh my poor pc xD)

You have to edit them all yourself. If you look into the options of the launcher it tells you the target destination where to download all your stuff. there you find all your configs and everything (its as a normal .minecraft folder) zip it up and distribute it to your members. you wont get...

I don't know whats your problem is. You CAN play it locally and you CAN play if offline and you CAN play it in LAN, so what do you want to change?
