So I am playing on a newly started Beyond server what are my best options for an early assault on a Water Temple. I am thinking of using Ender IO Dark Steel armor which I can empower to add on Night Vision and Flippers, and brew up some potions of water breathing. But what do I want to use as...
To help anyone who is looking for the shard ore without playing with dimlets, running version 1.2.1 I setup an Environmental Tech Void Ore miner level 1 and was able to get 6 in about an hour without any additional lens adjustment. Of course your RNG may vary...
*disclaimer* I have not played DW20 since the update
As you already mentioned TE was late to the party for this modpack, so I am guessing that since ore generation was already configured prior to it being added so that is why TE is not spawning any ores. All metals that it needs should be...
Since you are using the new launcher you need to open the profile for the DW20 modpack and click the versions button to download the most recent beta, starting at 1.8 the TE mods have been added. You might also need to change the preference from release to beta in order to see it. It is fine...
Both the gamepedia and ftbwiki sites are usually pretty good for 1.7 content, but from my experience if you want current info you will have to go to the mod authors themselves. Frequently I go to curseforge and from there find the links the authors have posted.

1.2.0 was just released today, go here to read the change log: https://www.feed-the-beast.com/projects/ftb-beyond/files/2393888
They like to leave things marked as beta for a week to 10 days to make sure the update did not make unintended changes.
You can use this:

It boots you back to the main menu and keeps you from having to restart your minecraft instance
Not currently playing that pack but I have seen it in other 1.10 packs where it does not display the recipe for the Ender Electron Tube in JEI but if I click on recipes inside the Thermionic Fabricator it does show it and allow me to create them.
Well I don't know of any specific seed to supply you with but to save you the pain of creating worlds and then flying around to see what is nearby you could use this mod:
https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/give-me-biomes
I don't mess with BoP configs but that might be an option for you...
Roots stopped development for 1.10 back in December and has switched over to Roots 2 for 1.11. Most of the online documentation is still for the old version and Elucent was not happy with how it was working out so he has changed how you progress in the mod now. You are now playing with a very...
Everyone is going to have an idea of what best is for the 1.10 version, so I do recommend slowly reading through the book and mousing over all the different abilities each material can offer to you. To help you get started out though I recommend copper as a tool rod since it provides you XP and...
For people asking about MultiMC I have used it on my laptop in order to obtain some performance gains. A quick search found this as a nice guide for getting started with it, I also was unaware of the symlink option in windows so I will have to try out those steps myself. The comments listed...
With the combat update you can now hit all mobs in one space with that broad slash, so a spider free 22 block drop tower can kill nearly everything in one hit (ender man and witches come to mind). That will get you player kills until you want to put spikes or a mob grinding utils device at the...
