    Ethanol

I don't know. Biomass/Biofuel made more sense, since you can make that basically out of anything, but to make Ethanol, you need sugar. Yes, i know that there are working setups to manufacture Ethanol out of sawdust and other organic materials, but it is a very inefficient and costly process...

    A mouse

I love my Razer DeathAdder. Very nice sliding, perfect sensor, adjustable DPI. I also play many FPS games, so i enjoy the fine control that it gives me. The Logitech G400 is also a pretty good one, but i enjoy the way the Razer feels in my hand much better.

    Suggest Mods for FTB Here

Nice suggestion, though i'd maybe wait some time until the mod is more fleshed out, as it seems the author has a good idea but is still changing a lot of things, recipes, etc... I don't think it's ready for a big modpack yet.

New OP Forestry engine .. forget the rest

I think it's perfectly okay that SirSengir is making the engine unable to receive automation. This engine is clearly intended as a starter renewable resource engine, for those who want to skip using coal/charcoal. 2,250 MJ per wind-up like b0bster mentioned is pretty good, that means you can...

    [Poll] Do you use Gregtech?

    Vanilla IC2 = no gregtech...

    [Poll] Do you use Gregtech?

Vanilla IC2 gave you a plant for Sticky Resin, it gave you a way of getting String before Flax, and also a plant that gave you Redstone. That's pretty useful to me. Especially since without Forestry, Sticky Reeds are the only way of automating sticky resin/rubber production. Renewable redstone...

    [Poll] Do you use Gregtech?

People were talking about availability of diamonds, ease of access, etc... Someone said diamonds aren't even that rare in RL, so i thought i'd expand a bit on that, because while it is technically true, a statement like that, taken at face value, may lead to wrong conclusions. Ore rarity and...

    [Poll] Do you use Gregtech?

Rarity of diamonds realy is exaggerated a bit, but company induced price gouging is not the only reason they're expensive. Yes, there's a world monopoly on diamonds by De Beers, and they're as cutthroat a company as it can get, but the main reason diamonds are so expensive, is because good...

    [Poll] Do you use Gregtech?

Getting Diamonds before getting a furnace is a question of having enough luck/good enough seed to find a nice Desert Temple/Village/Mineshaft with lots of diamonds in a chest. That's pretty easy.

    [Poll] Do you use Gregtech?

I tried Gregtech before TE was there, and it definitely influenced my opinion on the mod. Back then there was no ore doubling option outside of IC2. So, when i found out what the goddamn recipe for the macerator changed into, i basically freaked out. These days, IC2 is more of a useful mod...

    Bad Lag In FTB?

The first thing i would do, is try to slam down the graphics to the bare minimum, and use Optifine to see if the lag is at least temporarily resolved in order for you to be able to at least move a bit in your world and try to pinpoint the problem. Second thing i'd do, is check for chunkloaders...

Solid Boilers after 1.5.1. Wood source?

I just use UNOBTANIUM's Ultimate Wood Chopper program. It works wonders. It really, really does. Extremely cheap too. And since you like turtles, why not? :D

    Recycle Buffering with Barrels

Routers are absolutely great for these kinds of builds. Keep in mind my suggestion is kind of very different than what you have right now, but bear with me. It's a good system that you will be able to use for any-size quarries, and have it be easily expandable. What i'd suggest, is this...

Is Java a gift to modders?

When i see these discussions, it tends to make my head spin... Most i did of coding was a little bit of IRC scripting and BASIC turtle stuff.

Is Java a gift to modders?

Do you think that if Minecraft was made in C++ instead of Java, it would run more smoothly? I see this spouted as absolute truth more often than not, but would be nice to see what a real programmer that has actually delved into the minecraft code has to say about this.

Is Java a gift to modders?

Obligatory forum post: http://www.computercraft.info/forums2/index.php?/topic/5488-147-luaforge-write-forge-mods-in-lua-updating-to-151/ LUAForge! For those who wanted in on modding, but didn't want to learn Java as a second (third, fourth...) language.

    [Poll] Do you use Gregtech?

And there are people who still say that they don't understand why Gregtech polarizes the community so much... The mod basically kind of broke a taboo when it started messing around with the recipes and behavior of other mods, it's most certainly a unique design decision. I do need to say again...

    [Poll] Do you use Gregtech?

GT nerfs Block Breakers(Only breaks blocks that Iron can break and not instantly), makes machines explode when they're hit with lightning (they burn, they send a 4X pulse through the network, which can cause chain explosions when you wire things improperly or hook up power in an improper way)...

    [Poll] Do you use Gregtech?

Their own stuff, mayhaps, but i don't remember any forestry nerfs for anything outside of forestry, or any railcraft nerfs for stuff outside of railcraft. CAVEAT: With RC you can still argue that it changes vanilla recipes, and thus that it's a "nerf", but i don't remember anything forestry...

How I killed the Ender Dragon

Goddamnit, i lost a big post i was typing. I guess i'll just go on the TL;DR section, and skip the math. Power V bow has higher single shot damage capabilities than Mining Laser, except when used in scatter mode and really close. Don't have hard data for how much damage XR's Handgun does, but...
