You can purchase a reliable PSU that is 80+ Bronze.

Bronze is fine and overclocking is more about wattage than efficiency. The GTX 770 will increase performance because it has more CUDA cores, VRAM, and its chip set is newer and well built.

It is not about adding mods. It is about making the theme based towards one idea. Look at my modpack Drone Pack. Perfect example.

I was saying it fits my needs, not for @Christophernjsp I agree that the i7 does the job amazingly. Also, my laptop with an i7 uses the GTX 770m and improves performance by a shit ton. My settings go from 6 render distance to 14 render distance with fancy, maximum lighting, and on power saver mode.

Or a R9 280/280X I own one and it maxes out Minecraft. That GPU is also paired with a Pentium G3258 which is a slow CPU and still runs MC amazingly.

The GPU can really boost preformance. If he has a 1700 DOLLAR BUDGET he cna afford an i7 and a 970. Also all of this I agree with. Nice explanations @midi_sec He should at least get a GTX 770. A 760 is just to slow for most games, including Minecraft.
