    Scourge of the corruptor is actually better than the terra blade, its normal attack should be 80, but if you crit, you can get over 100, that means with that and about 100 more damage from its small eaters, yu get a total of 140 damage or so, Terra blade is better for melee, though i think...

    Rush the dungeon, get Ectoplasm (you normally find Dungeon Spirits by killing other skeletons), make a Spectre pickaxe, go to your jungle, mine down and find the chlorophyte bar, (green common ore) DO NOT USE THE ARMOR MADE BY ECTOPLASM though, why? cause its getting nerfed like Vampire Knives...
