No, I define it for my game, no other. There was nothing wrong until Greg decided to modify things to intentionally crash the game.

    Why wouldn't they be?

There is no "wrong" recipe. Seriously, neither you nor Greg get to define words as you want. The game ran just fine, until Greg decided to specifically make changes that intentionally crashed the game.

Key point: It's not a config error. It's not an error at all. Things would have ran without issue without the crash. In fact, prior to Greg modifying his mod to insert the crash, things did run without issue even with Tinker's changing the recipe. So...your statement is null value.

That's really not the best option for anybody, even if you think its the best option for you. Like they say, if you want the mod you can add it yourself. Consider the situation unresolvable.

    Dirt to UU-Mater

What I saw was Greg refusing to provide a config option for a change he made in another mod (Bronze, specifically) Then a few days later, he decided to crash the game because somebody changed his mod.

Not an option. Both Greg and mDiyo have requested that they not be released together.

What you're saying isn't even English You're right, Greg did make it crash by using nasty programming tactics. now, back to your mDiyo claim...

An intentional recipe change is .... how modded minecraft works. They are not malicious.

Fact: mDiyo has never supported bukkit. Fact: Intent matters Fact: You've got nothing but heresay to back your claim Tinker's Construct with bukkit is even broken, and one reversed by direct links that Bukkit supports recipe changes in a manner that the heresay claim says it doesn't. The hole...

Also, people point out it doesn't crash (I wouldn't know, I don't use bukkit) and mDiyo also points out he does not and has never supported bukkit. Of course I don't know how much credence I give it, but we've gotten reports with our modpack that IC2 causes bukkit to crash....so since GT...

The future of FTB Modpacks pt 2

Yes, as I've said before this is similar to RedPower issues. People using GT are upset that the mod has gone off the deep end. They are upset because they use it and removing it from existing worlds is generally painful or impossible. Most of these people will reset as the modpacks update to...

That's an example of irrational, not a counter example.

And nobody rational will run those modpacks. My original phrasing was fine.

Nowhere in either post has Slowpoke claimed GT would be removed from FTB. Nor has he defined criteria for removal that GT violates.

This isn't a surprise, since he said exactly that in both "Future of FTB Modpacks" threads

No, because anybody rational will not be running a modpack with GT in the future.

The future of FTB Modpacks pt 2

GregTech isn't being "kicked" as much as it should be. mDiyo requested that his mods not be shipped in the same pack as GT mods. Greg then made the same request. This requires a modpack shuffling. Hopefully a large swath of mod authors will make similar requests. Like cpw.

So hey, I've discovered that Tinker's Construct has a config option to remove vanilla tools, but that option defaults to off. ...if GregTech was violated because Tinker's Construct didn't come talk to Greg about reversing his changes. ...if GregTech was violated because it's config option (that...
