    Too many Diamonds in Unleashed

First of all, any discussion comparing vanilla resources to FTB resources needs to account for our plethora of automatic mining techniques. Even if you manually mine, we're blessed with all sorts of things that streamline the process of mining. You will inevitably end up mining more resources...

    Replacement for Buildcraft Builder?

If you have a schematic file (i.e. from MCEdit) this is just the thing. If all you want are regular shapes (cylinders, hexagons, etc) this program can work wonders.

MFR's Liquicrafter only needs a redstone pulse to craft, right? I bet you could use a really fast clock to get 10 crafts/sec out of that. I suppose I'd prefer the slight MJ drain, though. Less headache to set up and still faster.

My quartz laden sword in unleashed also doesn't shine. I suspect this is because quartz adds extra damage incrementally rather than jumping up tiers of sharpness and thus doesn't use the vanilla enchant.

Reaper's Scythe is from Thaumic Tinkerer, which might explain why it's not included in a TC3 pack. I don't use BDCraft so I can't say for sure, but this looks promising.

    Factorization Help? FTB Ultimate

You can pump into barrels from the top and out from the bottom. Hook up your item movement mod of choice accordingly. Either that or use a gravity gun/portal gun to pick up the barrel and move it outside.

Depends on what you mean by "better." I like golems for harvesting things like potatoes. They're not as fast as an MFR system w/ fertilizer, but I think they're easier to set up (once you've done the research anyway) and don't have any power cost.

    Autosmelting picks that double ores...

I love my TiC auto-smelt + fortune hammer for on-demand smelting. I don't do a lot of on-demand smelting nowadays (hooray for autoprocessing using machines), but every now and then it's just really satisfying to build up a giant 3x3 tower of ore blocks and smelt it down. I do the majority of my...

Some configs are server or client only, but in general if they don't match up, things will have varying levels of badness. Sometimes it's not a huge issue (i.e. NEI displaying faulty info), but it's easy enough to sync up configs that there's no reason not to.

They can be combined into an Emerald. IIRC it takes 6 fragments to make 1 emerald.

You only get a max of 1 iron tube. And your numbers are all sorts of wonky anyway (2 bronze + 2 iron would be 34EU/t for 10MJ/t) I think the best you can do is 1 Iron and nothing else - the other tubes have worse conversion rates than just having more engines. That would be 5EU:2MJ or ~12MJ/t...

Yes. Most (all?) FTB packs use Wireless Redstone - Chickenbones Edition. Scratch that, I saw CodeChickenCore on the mod list and didn't bother reading further, apparently Unhinged just has chicken chunks, not wireless redstone.

    Using AE to decompress cobble

Hmm... if your only patterns are the decompression ones, I have no clue why it wouldn't work. Is it pulling cobble from a storage bus somewhere possibly? Or are you just getting 0 cobble? Or is the idea to constantly have a stack of uncompressed cobble in a chest (probably an ender chest...

    Using AE to decompress cobble

There are two problems I can see. The first problem is that you have 2 patterns for double compressed cobble et. al. One for compressing and one for decompressing, but the MAC doesn't like having more than one recipe for an item. My advice would be to pipe your cobble through a series of...

I suspect you could rig something up that regulated the saplings in the farm using AE. It should be pretty straight forward to swap back and forth between the two (2 export busses redstoned to have 1 on and 1 off). You could hook that into a timer to swap back and forth every so often. If...

This looks like it would probably get more help on the tech support forums. I wonder if something happened with Mystcraft (dimension 8 would probably be a Mystcraft age at any rate). Best advice I can give you is make sure you have the right version of the mod pack, all configs matched up with...

For what it's worth, I usually start bees after my first caving run. You can theoretically start breeding bees as soon as you get an apiary (you can pillage a village or sometimes trade with an apiarist villager), but I'd recommend waiting until you get a beealyzer. That means you'll probably...

    FTB Unleashed Goals

Get every species of bee. For extra points, get every species running at the same time. For double extra points get them all running in alvearies with automated frame production keeping them at max production chance. As soon as you get your first diamond use it to make a portal to the Twilight...

How long do you stay in the "Vanilla" stage?

I kinda mix up my worlds. I tend to get into bees fairly quickly (very quickly if I find a few apiaries in a village) and my first 3 diamonds usually go towards a mining turtle to get the ball rolling on auto-mining. However, I tend to go pretty strongly vanilla for a lot of mob and crop farms...
