The best ae-only system for keeping a set number of items supplied is a supplier subnetowrk, but I've found it's almost always easier to hand off the supplying duties to some other mod like logistics pipes or extra utilities.

I thought that was knockback and beheading was from obsidian + ender pearl. Or did that change in 1.6? Haven't used either of those modifiers since Unleashed.

You can sort by ID, which should usually result in all the items from one mod being grouped together.

The basic idea is a pressure plate feeding redstone hooked up to a pulse lengthener. You can do this with vanilla redstone (look up redstone pulse lengthener on youtube and you should find plenty of examples), but the most compact solution is probably either MFR's rednet controller thingie or a...

It's been a while since I last went hive-hunting, but I'm pretty sure I nabbed all my Unusual Bees from jungles. They're also supposed to spawn in plains, but I must have terrible luck because I've never seen one in a plains biome.

Well, it sounds like you're on the right track - getting rid of that chest. MCEdit can handle this, but it sounds like you might be able to resolve your problem without resorting to that. I'm not 100% sure what all can destroy an ender chest, but I'd be tempted to try a mining laser if you're...

First, have a pen full of adult animals that will be your breeding stock. Next, use a Breeder to feed your animals and get them to breed. Then use a Chronotyper to pull babies into an adjacent pen that has a grinder in it. The grinder won't kill baby animals, so as soon as the babies grow up...

The steam produced by factorization's solar boiler is exactly the same as the steam produced by any other means in FTB. Just swap in a dynamo or engine rather than the turbine and you'll be fine.

The best guide out there is DW20's videos. Just follow what he does. IIRC, he did a pretty thorough step-by-step in Season 3... maybe it was Season 2, it's been a while.

To get a coalfuel can from a canning machine it should be 6 cells in the upper slot, and an empty can in the lower slot. However, I have no idea if that changed with IC2 experimental. If that doesn't work, you may just want to use an alternative fuel - lava buckets are worth 1,000 fuel (as...

Each page of recipes in the MAC is a distinct pattern provider within the MAC. There's absolutely no problem with expanding.

There's no simple solution, but you could probably hook up something up with a turtle. Use code from one of the tree farming programs from the ComputerCraft forums, adapt the breeding code from the bee breeding program over there, and add in a lag time so that the tree has an opportunity to get...

I don't mean that chickenchunks chunkloaders were disabled, I meant the act of chunkloading was globally disabled via forgeChunkLoading.cfg, I should have been clearer.

Does your console say anything? Are you getting lag, or just severe FPS drops (i.e. does the world keep ticking, even if you struggle to see it)? My gut reaction is a slowdown due to memory issues (remedied by allocating more memory to FTB), but more info is needed.

    No resolute bee?

For what it's worth, you were having trouble breeding the Resilient bee because it's Robust+Imperial, not Tarnished+Corroded. NEI works fine, but if you prefer an out of game resource, just use the official wiki - the one linked at the top of this page. The bee section is by far the best bee...

Well, since we're on FTB, you can just turn off rain in NEI. Right click the water drop and never worry about it again. You can similarly control time in NEI - right click to disable a time period, left click to set to that time. I mostly play on hard, but I turned mob griefing off because I'm...
