Well, one ender chest or tesseract should be enough if you are willing to do some non-AE item transfer. If you do not insist on keeping exactly 2 stacks of saplings you could do an overflow system with storage busses, but that probably wouldn't be less complex than export busses with level...

Sorry for the necro, but I didn't want to start a whole new thread for something quite related ;) Is the Idontlikefun setting client or server side? What I mean is, can I set it differently from the server, and, if yes, will the client side override the server setting for me?

You can, crafting must happen in LP though. Therefore I have the few things I tend to need in the wild auto-crafted with LP =) And if I need them at home, works as well. Not quite as fast as with the MAC, but it's not things you need immediately upon request.

Big reactors are known to be wonky with latches. I use a rednet port to control rod insertion by stored energy, hasn't failed me so far.
