You can't fix what is not broken. As the Wiki might state, the rate is 1-2 saplings, but think of it as an average number. Sometimes you are lucky and get more, sometimes you get less. That's how average works.

Try reading what you are linking to. The feature mentioned is used for trouble shooting, f.ex. if you are experiencing problems while installing SQL server 2005. It even says that your standard install of Win Vista/7 by default uses all of the available cores.

It's a feature. If you want it, you can enable it. If you do not like it, keep it disabled. It's all part of customizing the mod to your personal liking.

One machine is not enough to affect an entire biome. The range varies, depending on what blueprint you use. Try experimenting a bit in a creative world. ;)

The Terra former is part of IC2 and is a machine capable of reforming the landscape. It's probably one of the least used machines in IC2, but it's actually great fun. A bit like changing the biome, but not really. More info can be found at the IC2 Wiki...

Seems like quite a few players are having problems finding tin. Am I really the only one swimming in mountains of tin here? Almost got twice as much tin as copper atm. The best advice is to NOT dig deep. There is no tin to be found at the lower levels.
